OOPS: Clinton’s Steele Dossier Lawyer Just Gave Trump A HUGE Legal Boost

The Clinton lawyer couldn't help crowing. Now he'll wish he hadn't.

If the name Marc Elias sounds familiar, it should. He’s the high-power liberal muckraking lawyer behind so many of the Dems’ dirty legal tricks. The Steele Dossier was just the tip of the iceberg.

With a single tweet, the former Perkins Coie political bomb-thrower may have handed Trump a tool of inestimable value. But since many of our readers don’t live and breathe politics, they may be forgiven if they have forgotten who the heck Elias is.

Besides being the conduit of the Steel Dossier, he also played a huge role in running legal challenges in 2020 that set the stage for mail-in ballots and other changes to election law that loosened their various accountability rules.

He was also a driving force behind the effort to strike Trump from the ballot. He reinvented himself as an election specialist in 2019, as Business Insider explained in a glowing piece about him back in September of ’21:

So Elias grew more outspoken. He incessantly railed against a Republican Party he viewed as hijacked by Trump. He launched Democracy Docket, a progressive advocacy site devoted to tracking and raising awareness of voter suppression and redistricting efforts, and built a massive email list of liberal acolytes. He defended Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential victory from Republican challenges in courts across the country — and sometimes multiple times a day in the court of public opinion.
[…] One such client was George Soros, who put $5 million in a trust to fund Elias’ work, The Washington Post reported in 2016.
[…] Elias Law Group is launching with 15 partners, all but one of whom are coming from Perkins Coie, with a total of 50 lawyers, Elias said. He expects it to have more than 60 by the end of September and more than 70 by the start of 2022.
It will have two groups, with the partner Elisabeth Frost overseeing litigation and Ezra Reese presiding over the political-law practice, where lawyers counsel campaigns, political action committees, and nonprofits on campaign finance and other election-related issues.
Even more notably, Elias will begin work with more than 500 clients, he said, including the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, an operation led by Holder. — Business Insider

With his loathing of Trump, it should surprise none of us that Marc is openly cheering for Nikki Haley. But in his excitement about the only win she’s managed to secure to date, he may have accidentally tipped his hand. Here is a screenshot, in case he turns coward and deletes it:

And a link. (With an archived link, just to be sure.)

How much damage can one tweet cause?

We DO have legal precedent of tweets being drawn upon for important court decisions. Remember that court battle about Biden’s White House trying to push their mandates on the general public? A tweet was entered into evidence there:

In upholding a stay on President Biden’s workplace vaccine mandate Friday, a federal appeals court also ruled that White House chief of staff Ron Klain’s retweet of an MSNBC journalist’s Twitter post was an endorsement of her claim about a mandate “work-around,” according to a report.

On Sept. 9, Klain retweeted MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle’s post that said, “OSHA doing this vaxx mandate as an emergency workplace safety rule is an ultimate work-around for the Federal govt to require vaccinations.”

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals mentioned the retweet in its decision reaffirming its stay on Biden’s mandate following a legal challenge from Texas and several other states, according to a Reuters reporter. —FoxNews

One of the nation’s most connected and notorious Soros-funded partisan hatchetmen has made a public admission that the jury pool in Washington DC is stacked against Donald J. Trump.

In other words, Trump can’t get a fair trial in DC… even the libs admit it.

For Marc, that means he can expect slam-dunk wins on any political charges arising there.

For Trump, that means any jury there would be tainted — possibly including the one that weighed the evidence against him in the document case before Jack Smith rushed a last-minute change of venue to Florida… AFTER the jury in DC recommended an indictment.

Could that taint the entire case? That’s for a judge to decide.

Do you know who ELSE might take an interest in that tweet?

That long list of Trump-friendly protesters who have been caught up in the J6 prosecutions.

Amid so many complaints that the trials have been little more than rubber-stamp rushes to judgment with overheated verdicts, Elias himself may have given them all a good reason to seek a change of venue for pending cases and an appeal or retrial for ones that have already been decided.

All because Nikki Haley couldn’t accept defeat, and a Democrat couldn’t resist the urge to gloat.

How ironic.
