Trump Gets Last Laugh Over Dems Hoping To See NY Seize His Assets

The left was licking their collective chops as they counted down the minutes until Trump had to pay the ridiculous judgment even to have a right to APPEAL the case that had been launched against him.

Forget that this application of law had no precedent. Forget that the ‘injured party’ was a bank that had not only suffered no losses, but was looking forward to working with him in the future.

None of that mattered. All the pundits, politicians, and crayon-eaters on the left cared about was seeing Trump suffer. Due process and rights to appeal be damned.

AOC was openly fretting about it being ‘dangerous’ if Trump’s assets were NOT seized by the state of New York.

The coven on The View embarrassed themselves with a segment of giggling schaudenfreude. Late night comics-turned-pundits joined the parade of clowns practically soiling themselves with sadistic glee.

It was a level of crazed malice normally reserved for comic-book villains:

Letitia James herself, who had openly daydreamed about foreclosing on his properties had promised that train was coming for Trump.

And then?

That train derailed.

Trump went to court, demonstrated his due diligence, asked for a pause on the judgment and appealed the amount that he be ordered to post as a bond. The judge heard his request and ruled in his favor.

This was a New York judge, no less!

A New York appeals court on Monday agreed to hold off collection of former President Donald Trump’s more than $454 million civil fraud judgment if he puts up $175 million within 10 days.

If Trump does, it will stop the clock on collection and prevent the state from seizing the presumptive Republican presidential nominee’s assets while he appeals. The appeals court also halted other aspects of a trial judge’s ruling that had barred Trump and his sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., the family company’s executive vice presidents, from serving in corporate leadership for several years. — AP

Naturally, after the ruling, Trump once again went on offence against both the creepy grinning judge and Letitia James.

The other New York ruling with a judge who has been little more than a rubber stamp for anything Alvin Bragg has asked for was as ridiculous as you might expect. His legal team has until April 15th to study the thousands of documents Bragg dropped in their lap just this month.

So much for the right to competent council and Trump’s right for his team to review the facts of the case.

This only underscores his claims of this being an unfair witchhunt. The Liberals may love it, but the conservaties and (more importantly) the independents are taking notice.
