Fetterman No Longer Calls Himself A ‘Progressive’ — Explains Why
Democrat media types love a 'GOP in disarray' story... but they always seem to downplay these...
Depending on which side of the aisle you stand on, Fetterman is either a surprise or a disappointment. He was asked about his apparent political pivot on CNN.
This many not be the answer she was expecting.
Any Republican to the right of Liz Cheney or Mitt Romney is considered ‘extreme right-wing’. We can’t help but notice the media never seems to apply any ‘extreme’ label to the left.
Could that have something to do with the ‘progressive’ agenda being an endless march to a distant horizon somewhere off the left edge of the map?
That’s almost definitionally what it is. The problem with that is some of your fellow-travellers eventually find a limit to their comfort zone in how far they are willing to chase that left-wing horizon.
That’s what seems to have happened with Fetterman’s political makeover sometime between his campaign and when he came back from his medical leave.
He is by no means waving a Trump flag, and still votes pretty nearly lockstep with Chuck Schumer… but every so often, he’s a fly in the ointment for the hard-left agenda.
He was asked about that on CNN. The answer he gave was an echo of the answer we once heard from another politician in years gone by.

If that sounds vaguely familiar, it should. Others have said the same thing about the endless leftward march of the Democrat party.
