With Biden Floundering, Will Kamala Step Up As Nominee?

Insiders report Democrat Party elites will convince Joe Biden very soon to step aside. Democrats recently polled (65%) say he has to go. He has become a complete liability, up and down the ticket.

If Joe shuffles off to Delaware, the successor will be VP Kamala Harris, unless someone else manages an open convention. If Biden leaves, she is the only person who can administer the $240M in the Biden/Harris war chest and that may preclude an open convention.

Who is this woman and what does her behavior pattern say about her suitability to be President?

Harris is from Oakland, California. She served as San Francisco and California Attorney General and as a U.S. Senator (2017-2021). When selected by Biden to be his Vice President, Barack Obama enthusiastically endorsed her. Lost on many was the fact that she had essentially called Biden a racist by association during the campaign. (She recently said Trump incites hate.) Newsweek had a different take.

Half Black and half Indian she would be considered far left by most. She has a tendency to play the race card frequently. She is a tax-and-spend Democrat. She is radically pro choice endorsing abortion through the 9th month, taxpayer funded.

Years ago she told a story about ‘fweedom’ that left many people suspicious.

Some observers concluded Harris was being ridiculously self-serving, and worse, she was plagiarizing Dr. Martin Luther King.

What of her early career and rapid advancement to Attorney General? Some have accused her of having a very friendly association with SF Mayor Willie Brown who eventually helped launch her career.

And then there were the swirling controversies involving her prosecutions of drug offenders, sending many people of color to long jail time for minor offenses, and admitting (with a giggle) to smoking pot while in office.

Tulsi Gabbard had a few things so say about Harris and her record as AG.

Perhaps the most controversial of Harris’s activities, as AG, involved the alleged sale of fetal tissue by Planned Parenthood, undercover reporters working to expose that activity, and Harris’s intervention. Harris was active defending Planned Parenthood but never brought criminal charges, though later plaintiffs with PP got civil judgments. Reporters were convicted of privacy invasion, a blow to freedom of the press, and PP was protected.

Biden appointed Harris to be border czar. After almost four years as Biden’s VP, the situation on the southern border is worse than at any other time. Here is an example of incompetence or willful inaction. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people suffer from this President’s open border policies, and Harris’s inaction.

Aside from the cackling and word salad pontifications, Kamala Harris has proven to be an effective keeper of the flame for radical politicians, and thus, her contributions are net negative. Even so, it would be a mistake to laugh her off if she becomes the candidate for President.

Word has it she is already shopping for a running mate. No doubt J.D. Vance is eager to debate.
