YIKES: ‘Green’ Energy Goes VERY Wrong In WILD CCTV Video

Go green, they said... save the world, they said -- but at what cost?

To hear the Eco Zealots tell the story there is nothing but upside to making the switch to Greta-approved transportation options.

Cars are bad, electric options are awesome. Or so they tell us.

Do you notice how their media experts can drone on for hours about all the ways that our petroleum-powered economy will be the death of us can’t seem to find any downside about the green options they insist we adopt?

Ebikes are one of the big new trends they want us to use instead of our daily driver. Is there any downside? Sure there is. When an electric battery fails, it fails in a big way. We’ve covered a number of stories about buildings burned to the ground because of a faulty battery.

It’s hard for the average person to gauge the level of risk of that kind of fire compared to, say, cooking fires or smoking. That’s were CCTV comes it — when a camera catches how quickly and catastrophically such a failure can happen, it helps recalibrate your understanding of what the dangers might look like.

This (graphic) CCTV shows a man carrying a battery into an elevator. If he’s like most people, he brought it up to his apartment to charge it, and was bringing the newly-charged battery to his bike so that he could hop on his bike and go.

He never got that chance. The battery failed in the elevator… to a degree that would stagger the imagination.

[Viewer warning I: it ends badly for the guy in the elevator.
Viewer warning II: if you don’t think you can handle the ‘after’ photo, look away before you get to the 46 second mark.]

The craziest part of this video is the speed at which this happens.

We go from the first release of smoke when the timestamp reads 9 seconds to the entire device being consumed in a fireball less than a second later, to the entire elevator car being turned into a blast furnace one second after that.
