Braveheart Vs. Chickenheart
When God's eye turns in your direction, which one are YOU gonna be?
Being surrounded by feckless cowards doesn’t mean you have to live like one of them.
Wasn’t that the whole point of Braveheart? One man found his courage to stand up for what was right — even against impossible odds — and inspired an entire nation to follow his example, even if it cost him his life?
We’re right back where we started in that story, aren’t we? We’ve got cruel and callous people who don’t give a rip about God or righteousness running the show.
God’s own words, in 2 Chronicles 16:9 NKJV say it this way:
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
When His eye turns to look on you, will he see someone willing to call on God’s help to stand straight and strong in the face of evil… or a navel-gazing me-monkey content to let the world get worse so that the next generation fights twice has hard to move the needle half as far?
