Today’s GOP is afraid of ‘government shutdowns’… but Reagan wasn’t. Dems want a yet another ‘continuing resolution’ to fund current reckless spending… should the GOP make it conditional on election security?
The left has already made it clear they will oppose any election security legislation. Is the GOP ready to call their bluff?
Congress is expected to reconvene in Washington, D.C., next week, where one of the top priorities will be pushing through funding bills in order to avoid the shutdown. The lawmakers will have just over three weeks to reach an agreement, or pass a continuing resolution that will give them additional time.
Here’s Chip Roy explaining why we a Continuing Resolution will be necessary, why it makes sense to extend it to March of 2025, and how he, like Trump, believes we should make any Continuing Resolution spending conditional on election security requirements spelled out in the SAVE act.
