CHARM OFFENSIVE: Trump Rocked Al Smith Dinner With Some Absolute Zingers (VIDEO)

Kamala's no-show was a YUGE missed opportunity

As anyone whose watched a Trump rally or an interview, Trump has a natural talent for comedic timing. He’s also very personable. This is a powerful combination for any speaker in a roast.

One thing about (mostly) apolitical events like this one are an ability to poke fun at someone without resorting to vitriol.

On a day where Kamala was practically frothing on stage in her denunciations of a ‘dangerous’ Trump, the one thing she really doesn’t want to see is a public appearance of ‘nice guy Trump’.

Unfortunately for her, that’s exactly what she got. And she skipped out the charity event, making her look small even to the hosts, who compared her SNL bit to watching a kids’ piano recital by FaceTime.

Ouch. Any time a political candidate comes off sounding like the negligent parenting in the beginning of the movie ‘Hook’…? Yeah. Not a great look.

You know it’s bad when CNN is lamenting her sitting out, and even Brian ‘The Potato’ Stelter is admitting Trump had good one-liners.

He joked about not needing as subpoena to appear at this event.
About Kamala receiving communion from Whitmer.
The only way Schumer could be seen less is if he had a show on CNN… and even joked about Chuck being the first female president.
White dudes for Harris was hilarious — he invoked the ‘wife’s boyfriend’ joke.
When it came to the self-deprecating jokes, he got creative.
Tim Walz isn’t here tonight. But he’ll say that he was.
He even found a way to say something nice about his old nemesis Rosie.
He went gloves-off for De Blasio.
Mayor Adams had a few appearances in his jokes. Especially when Trump explained why he had to keep his remarks short.
