Kamala’s Attempt To Dunk On DeSantis Backfires… Badly

Her petty finger-pointing did NOT go as planned

It was supposed to be a moment to make Kamala look like the competent leader interested in getting results in a badly-handled crisis. In the end, she just looked like a kid trying to keep up with the grownups.

Someone (probably her campaign) made sure the news media got wind of a rumor that Governor DeSantis was NOT returning Kamala’s calls.

Here’s the ABC story:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis refused to take a call with Vice President Kamala Harris in the last several days on hurricane response, as the state recovers from Hurricane Helene and stares down Hurricane Milton, a source close to the governor told ABC News.

The DeSantis team claim the vice president’s outreach is politically motivated, according to the source.

DeSantis staffers also said the governor has not spoken to President Joe Biden in the last few days.

(Is now a good time to bring up the fact that the Disney Exec who oversees the ABC News properties happens to be the person who actually INTRODUCED Kamala to her husband?)

Kamala springboarded from that story to a personal attack against Governor DeSantis, claiming he was being political and selfish.

Except, there’s no reason to believe such a phone call is any more credible than anything else her campaign has been shoveling.

First, Governor DeSantis handled questions about the ABC story…

Then he pulled back the curtain and revealed just how singularly unserious a person Kamala really is:

At no point in 3 1/2 years has she EVER called him about ANY of the hurricanes that have torn through Florida — why should this time be any different?

All this petty play for attention has done is to remind the public that she’s not only unprepared for this job — she’s not particularly interested in the responsibilities it entails:

Vice President Kamala Harris is at the center of a new storm for forgoing annual hurricane season preparedness briefings that were a staple of her predecessor Mike Pence’s calendar — with critics arguing the omission reflects how she may govern as president.

Foes of the Democratic presidential nominee highlighted the missing briefings as the death toll from Hurricane Helene passed 143 in the Southeast — as Harris scrambled back to Washington from Las Vegas Monday to attend a FEMA briefing and booked a trip Wednesday to storm-hit Augusta, Ga.

“Harris hasn’t demonstrated the ability — or desire — to do the apolitical parts of the job that have a huge impact on our lives,” a former Pence aide told The Post as criticism of the flat-footed federal response to Helene became a campaign issue. “Why should Americans trust her to start in the Oval Office?” — NYPost

If she wants to convince us she’s NOT the lightweight people claim she is… the burden of proof is on her. And she’s failing. Badly.

I Talk Back to the Devil is an action manual that sports thirty pure fire proclamations against the powers of darkness in three different categories covering, the wealth, the walk and the warfare of the Christian against Satan and his defeated ilk.

This NEW book will put a serrated edge on the Christian’s prayer life in these troubled times. This slim tome will embolden the believer to stop taking Satan’s crap.
