COURAGE: The Perfect Response To New Jersey Town Council Banning American Flags

The American-hating section of the censorious left has been given four years of power during the Biden years where patriots are viewed as potential terrorists. But the tide is turning faster than they realize.

A town in New Jersey, Edison, passed an ordinance outlawing the use of American flags and the Constitution in their town meetings, as a ‘prop’. They passed this ordinance because ‘props’ were used in previous meetings to make the current leaders look ridiculous over decisions for which the public strongly disapproved.

These officials have forgotten what it means to be faced down by someone who understands a citizen’s rights.

The American flag and the U.S. Constitution are among a list of “props” banned by a New Jersey township council last week, sparking outrage in the community.

The ban came under an Edison Municipal Council ordinance establishing proper decorum for members of the Edison Township community who address the council during public hearings. Using props while addressing the council is listed in the ordinance as “an impediment to the orderly conduct.”

Resident Joel Bassoff gave a public comment during last Monday’s council meeting, decrying the fact that the ordinance also limits public comments to four minutes. During that speech he held up a copy of the Constitution. — CBS Austin

One man went into a meeting with a desk-sized American Flag, to represent his rights under the Constitution. He defied them to their faces… and was escorted out of the building. But not before he told them they were wrong.

He warned them to get a competent council for a second opinion. They WILL be sued, they WILL lose, and they do not deserve to stand as elected representatives in a system whose Bill of Rights they openly defy.

Ejecting him did not make the problem go away. In fact, it was just the beginning of this town council’s headache.
