CALIFORNIA BURNING: Who’s Been Helping And Who’s Been Making The Problem Worse
Expect the press to give praise and assign blame... will they get it right this time?
Not surprisingly, regime media have already pushed ahead with ‘Republicans Pounce’ and climate change angles of this story — when there are much more obvious questions of cause and effect.
Here’s Politico blandly pushing the leftwing narrative, right on cue:
Oops.
We’ve got examples of ‘news’ reporters torn between reporting what’s happening and protecting official narratives stated by local officials and politicians… like this example where the guy in studio is directly contradicted by the reporter on the scene. The lady on scene just happens to be standing in the middle of an ember storm with houses burning beside her and firefighters doing what they can to save homes despite empty hydrants:

That pivot at the one minute mark is a heck of a contrast to the guy in studio who went out of his way to make it seem as if the claims of a former mayoral candidate about failure to prepare was dishonest and partisan.
At issue, we’ve got a supermajority of Democrat politicians who have slashed fire budgets, elevated ecological priorities above human life and property, they have ignored calls for forest management among other planning decisions that have only exacerbated the problem.
In at least one instance, the out-of-control homeless problem was the direct cause of a fire. Others have been traced back to arson, while still using those same fires as a cudgel with which to push climate change arguments. (Shellenberger debunks this superficial argument here.)
With the Mayor out of country in the first few critical days of this disaster, we’ve got at least one politician with fire experience weighing in.
In an article, he even went into some detail.
So we’ve got an outsider from Montana with ideas on how to fix it.
We’ve got president-re-elect Trump who’s still about 10 days from being sworn in. Trump has been talking about how California mismanages forests and water for years, and he’s been talking about the resevoirs and smelt.
Finally, we’ve got an announcement from Elon Musk, who the left would absolutely destroy on a personal level if it was in their ability, offering to help in their time of need.
Newsom and his pals have set conditions for California to burn. And we’ve listed people on the much-maligned right who are interested in making the kind of changes needed to save it.
It makes you wonder if water, funding firefighters and burying the power lines would be a solvable problem if California Dems weren’t building boondoggle rail projects to nowhere and paying all the bills that Sanctuary State status drops on the heads of the taxpayer?
