L.A.’s Wildfires

Where will the buck stop for what went wrong?

A series of wildfires has broken out in the Los Angeles area, resulting in the destruction of property and resulting in many people having to evacuate the area. Several homes of celebrities have burnt to the ground, including those of Mark Hamill, Mel Gibson, James Woods, and Paris Hilton (which in her case, might give a whole new meaning to her catchphrase “That’s Hot”). Meanwhile, Steve Guttenberg has assisted firefighters by moving cars away from the frontlines. In addition, there has been looting going on, and even fires being started by a few individuals. And just recently, two men were arrested for burglarizing Kamala Harris’s home in Brentwood.

Needless to say, the City of Angels has turned into Hell on Earth, or, to be more accurate, a hellfire on Earth.

Questions have been raised about these wildfires. What was the cause of these wildfires? Why did they spread so rapidly? Why are the firefighters having trouble containing the fires?

The cause of the fires is yet to be determined. It is not climate change, contrary to popular belief. Nor is climate to blame for any droughts in the area. Climate change is the result of solar activity, not human activity.

It is possible that the cause of the wildfires was due to someone starting a fire, perhaps by accident. In recent years, many wildfires broke out in California, the result of campfires being started by the homeless, who did a poor job in maintaining them.

The reason such fires have spread so rapidly is due to high winds and dry vegetation in the area (the latter possibly being the result of drought). And why are firefighters having trouble containing these fires? First, there is a lack of water in the reservoirs due to the water being removed in order to save a species known as the Delta smelt fish. Such action was the result of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s environmental policies.

Second, Karen Bass (the Mayor of Los Angeles) decided to trim the budget of the Los Angeles Fire Department by $17-18 million in order to divert funding for the homeless. Such a move was not only dumb, but it would also be ironic should it be determined that a homeless person had started the fire.

Third, the Los Angeles Fire Department has adopted DEI policies, which led to it being run by lesbians named Kristin Crowley (the Fire Chief), Kristina Kepner (the assistant Fire Chief), Kristine Larson (the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Bureau Chief), and Jamie Brown (the Training Commander). None of these women have been firefighters, but to the woke crowd, that is not important. Diversity (and breaking the glass ceiling) is what matters.

Meanwhile, what was Karen Bass’s response when asked why the fire department’s budget had been reduced Silence. It’s like she didn’t know what to say.

At any rate, many people have been critical of state and local officials regarding these wildfires, including various celebrities (e.g. James Woods, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Justine Bateman).

Thus, I believe Karen Bass’s political career is over. The same can be said for Gavin Newsom.
