US Debt Clock Gets A New Metric — Thanks To D.O.G.E!
Finally, some GOOD news on that damnable debt clock.
While Elon’s already counting the panicked lawsuits trying to keep DOGE from doing its job, there’s another number being tabulated that should excite deficit hawks.
We’ve got a new addition to the wild array of numbers on the US debt clock. One that measures a category that didn’t even exist just a few short days ago.

The DOGE clock currently stands at around $6 Billion. And it’s trending higher.
Elon has said there might be as much as $2 Trillion worth of efficiencies out there that could be trimmed from the federal budget. That’s a moon-shot kind of number at this point, but then again, Elon has always been something of a get-the-impossible-done kind of a guy.
With Trump already taking the axe to DEI departments, we can expect this number will go up… hopefully it will rise faster than the last-minute cynical wasteful spending we saw right up until hours before Trump was sworn in as POTUS.
That half-trillion dollar deal with ‘Stargate’ investors looking at US-based AI will certainly help the bottom line… especially if they start building a ton of new generators to top up the power grid.
