HEY CHRISTIANS: What Do You Think Of Pam Bondi’s New Task Force Role?

Religious freedom is a real priority for DJT

In the last 8 years, Trump was slammed by all the talking heads as faking Christianity to scam believers while Joe Biden was held up as a paragon of faithful Catholic belief.

With Joe’s track record of refusing to accept ‘religious exemption’ to anti-theistic policies and mandates, spying on Latin Mass attendees, throwing praying grandmothers in jail, labeling concerned parents ‘domestic terrorists’, pushing agendas that are openly hostile to traditional faith, and refusing to prosecute militant activists who firebomb pro-life institutions, it will take more than swearing in on an oversized book to impress most of us he was a ‘faithful believer’. That’s without even getting into questions about corruption, lawlessness and all the 11th hour pardons his family and friends needed at the end of his time in office.

Trump on the other hand, spent his four years pressing the rights of religious minorities worldwide, protecting Churches from heavy-handed government interference, and generally letting Churches focus their energies on the spiritual, moral, and social concerns while the government looked after questions of governance.

With Trump 2.0 in the White House, he’s had one of those proverbial ‘wilderness periods’, not to mention a brush with death. Did any of that change him, or his understanding of faith and his role in the world?

We need not wonder, he’s said as much himself:

Trump’s words at the National Prayer Breakfast underscored the importance faith had in the role of America
becoming the nation it is today. That’s not all that has changed. He’s got a special assignment for Pam Bondi:

That task force is named in an Executive Order he signed.

After 4 years in government under a nominally Catholic President, it’s kind of weird that complaints of systemic and aggressive secular bias against Christian belief has spread like cancer through a government that is supposed to be hands-off on matters of personal belief.

Surely all the ‘principled Conservative’ NeverTrumpers who have been cashing in on the grift of opposing Trump for the good of the party — especially those doing so to preserve authentic faith — will be rushing to give their formal apologies for getting this question so throroughly wrong… won’t they?

Or are they too busy complaining that USAID funding sources are going by-bye?
