Living Bold, Wild, and Free

Warriors and Wildmen: with Rich Witmer and Doug Giles

When Jesus sent the Twelve out to be fishers of men, it was NOT so that they could stock an aquarium.

Somewhere along the line, people in churches got the idea that boring-ness is next to godliness. Nothing could be farther than the truth.

Look at the biographies of Christians — not just preachers, but Christians of any discipline and background — who dared to take the call of God seriously, and trust HIM for the results by offering their obedience as willing participants in His grand plan.

These are the kind of ‘where-the-heck-did-HE-come-from’ upstarts that flip the world on its head and change everything forever.

One Christian guy on a battlefield saw a problem that needed fixing? Created the Red Cross.

A struggling innkeeper’s kid who learned Latin, went to seminary and was pretty handy with numbers? Keppler turned astronomy inside out… because he believed a rational God was at the root of the question he was trying to solve.

A well-to-do English politician came to faith. Friends told him not to abandon his role, but to use it for good. Wilberforce spent a lifetime fighting slavery, and lived to see Emancipation.

A group of upstarts who really believed the axiom ‘rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God’ took their faith and their muskets up against the world’s leading superpower… and carved out for themselves a new nation in the New World… one that eventually stepped into the vacuum that super-power left behind.

When we talk about wild, we don’t JUST mean going some place beyond the concrete jungle and electric lights.

But, since Moses, David, Elijah, John The Baptist, Jesus, and the apostles all got after it, stepping outside for fresh air and sunshine sure doesn’t HURT, either.

If you’ve found yourself living the kind of quiet life where the Devil doesn’t break a sweat the second your feet hit the floor in the morning it’s time to change that.

However late you might think the hour has grown, there’s still a way to lock in with God and get after His purposes in a way that will take you to the very limits of what you were made for… and draw out all the parts of you that he put in there in the first place.

Boring?

Nah. Most people have it all backwards. Boring is the same 18 holes of golf with the same 3 guys who tell the same 20 jokes every day until you take the adios snooze.

But jumping in on what God has cooked up for you? That’s anything but.

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
