ICYMI: Planned Parenthood Defends Interstate Movement Of Minors In Court

Making a case like this one takes Elliot Spitzer-level arrogance

Parents are the line of defense keeping them from being coaxed into decisions that go against their self-interest by crooks, shysters, and anyone else whose first concern is the bottom line.

Age requirements are for the protection of minors

We’ve got a recent story involving a Planned Parenthood ‘2016-employee-of-the-year-turned-whistleblower who won a wrongful termination case in court who can more than substantiate claims that Planned Parenthood cares far more about running up their numbers to hit targets than they do the best interests of the fragile young women in a moment of panic.

Kids make famously bad decisions. That’s why they can’t sign contracts, get tattoos, or buy booze… it’s for their protection so they don’t make catastrophic and irreversible decisions.

Progressive activists have long seen parents as an obstacle to their goals. They routinely look for work-arounds, or worse — deceptive practices that conceal their true intent. We’ve seen it in particular with examples of non-relative adults ‘transitioning’ children while deliberately keeping parents in the dark about what’s going on with their child, and we’ve seen it in questions of abortion.

Enter Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey and his lawsuit against Planned Parenthood for taking children across state lines with fake doctor’s notes… with NO parental consent.

Planned Parenthood wants exemption from those protections

They countersued.

For the good of the child, of course.
No other reason. Pinky swear it.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is suing Planned Parenthood, accusing the organization of illegally transporting minors across state lines for abortions without parental consent, a practice he calls a “relentless assault” on parental rights.
[…] Bailey’s legal action alleges that Planned Parenthood has been caught on camera admitting to creating fake doctors’ notes to remove minors from school, transporting them to out-of-state abortion clinics, and returning them without their parents’ knowledge. The lawsuit cites Missouri law, which prohibits intentionally aiding a minor in obtaining an abortion in another state without parental consent.

“Our children deserve to be protected—not trafficked across state lines for dangerous and clandestine abortion procedures,” Bailey said in a statement. “Planned Parenthood’s countersuit is a disgraceful attempt to twist the law into a shield for its reckless and immoral behavior.” — LifeSite

At issue is ‘Amendment 3’,

The case is expected to test the boundaries of Amendment 3 and could have broader implications for abortion access and parental rights across state lines. A court date has not yet been set.

The lawsuit seeks a court order enjoining Planned Parenthood from concealing sexual offenses committed against minors, and for conspiring to transport minors across state lines for abortions in violation of state statute. Bailey also called upon state policymakers to use the tools necessary to permanently defund Planned Parenthood. As part of the lawsuit the AG’s office will be conducting its own investigation. Planned Parenthood could be facing administrative, civil, and criminal penalties. — LifeSite
