JD Vance Announces India Visit Has Produced ‘Roadmap’ For Trade Agreement
While memers joke he's the 'angel of death'... he may be helping breathe new life into balanced trade

The massive gamble Trump is taking seems to have two different components — one is to leverage new trade agreements with the world. The other seems motivated by taking back what China took from us.
Especially, jobs.
With other countries re-evaluating their relationships and dependancy upon China too, this seems to be catching on. And that could be very good news for one of China’s closest neighbors.
India, as a Commonwealth nation and the world’s most populous country, would be a far more natural ally to do business with in the region than China. Especially since India does not have any obvious grand plans of subjugating their neighbors.
Having them as a business power, not to mention a growing regional power, that is able to defend itself from any Chinese aggression is a win-win for anyone looking warily at Chinese ambitions.
That makes the Vice President’s visit to India all the more interesting. While the ‘Panicans’ Trump warned us about are getting jumpy in the markets, Vance is part of the team being proactive with prospective trading nations.
Having free and fair trade between USA and India? That could go a long way to signalling that the strong medicine Trump ordered for the economy is, indeed, working.
However, Trump officials have repeatedly insisted that a “tailor-made” deal with the New Delhi government is among the most likely to be reached soon, alongside agreements with Japan, South Korea and Vietnam.
Vance and Modi “welcomed significant progress in the negotiations for a U.S.-India Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) and formally announced the finalization of the Terms of Reference for the negotiations, laying down a roadmap for further discussions about our shared economic priorities,” according to a joint release.

“The BTA presents an opportunity to negotiate a new and modern trade agreement focused on promoting job creation and citizen well-being in both countries, with the goal of enhancing bilateral trade and supply-chain integration in a balanced and mutually beneficial manner,” the release said.
“Guided by their respective visions of ‘Amrit Kaal for India’ and ‘Golden Age for America,’ BTA is expected to create new opportunities of growth for workers, farmers, and entrepreneurs in both countries.” — NYPost
Like anything else, we won’t know how this pans out until it actually DOES. But it’s worth keeping an eye on, nevertheless.
