LUIGI: Leftists Put Assassins On Their Legislation… The Right Wants To Put Them Somewhere ELSE

This is even worse than the candles with George Floyd and Fauci's faces on them

The left has turned ‘Luigi’ into a folk hero, not because of what he suffered medically, but because of the crime for which he stands accused. California is even writing legislation in his name.

Let’s back up just a little.

Last December, Brian Thompson, the CEO of United Healthcare was murdered in the street. Shot in cold blood. In the back. He didn’t stand a chance.

A manhunt led to the arrest of Luigi M, who became a hero and heart-throb to the activist left. The worst part about it is that killing a man in cold blood, as he stands accused of doing, is driving the appeal. Of no interest to them is the victim being CEO of a company with no record of past business connections with Luigi. In other words, they literally cheered the murder of a man who had NO connection whatsoever to his killer.

Deep down, the left doesn’t see the humanity of all people equally.

Some people are ‘sub-human’ and legitimate targets for murder. The uncomfortable fact that such language is indistinguishable from the language used to justify lynching is lost on them.

In the intervening months, since his arrest, we’ve seen some relevant developments beyond the immediate scope of his case itself. We saw Joe Biden try to all but do away with Death Row with pardons and commutations at the 11th hour. (The Autopen scandal seems to have negated that order, but we’ll see how it all plays out.)

We saw Pam Bondi announce that she would be seeking the death penalty in this case, after reinstating it shortly after being sworn in.

And we have seen that California has wrapped Luigi’s name into legislation linked to the (assumed) motive behind the crime for which he stands accused.

Whereas the GOP ‘say her name’ initiatives are centered around memorializing the vicitms of crime so that their names live on beyond their untimely deaths. (See: Kate Steinle Law; Lakan Riley Act; Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Refuge), the activist left has chosen to immortalize the name of a man accused of shooting a stranger in the back in a busy street.

The proposed measure would make it illegal in California for anyone other than a licensed physician to deny, delay, or modify medical procedures or medications. Eisner, who still holds an active law license, says the initiative was inspired by his personal battle with cancer and subsequent disputes with his insurance company.

“People are tired of carriers, of insurance companies denying them health care,” Eisner told CBS 8. — CBS8

The DOJ, on the other hand, does not see him as a hero. They see him as a criminal, worthy of our utmost contempt.

“Luigi Mangione’s murder of Brian Thompson — an innocent man and father of two young children — was a premeditated, cold-blooded assassination that shocked America. After careful consideration, I have directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty in this case as we carry out President Trump’s agenda to stop violent crime and Make America Safe Again.”

As alleged, Luigi Mangione stalked and murdered UnitedHealthcare executive Brian Thompson on Dec. 4, 2024. The murder was an act of political violence. Mangione’s actions involved substantial planning and premeditation and because the murder took place in public with bystanders nearby, may have posed grave risk of death to additional persons.
Following federal murder charges handed down on Dec. 19, 2024, Attorney General Bondi has now directed Acting U.S. Attorney Matthew Podolsky to seek the death penalty in this case. — DOJ
