OOPS: Militant Sanctuary City Mayor Exposed For BIG Money Connection To CCP Fundraisers

This is awkward...

As if her rabid defense of sanctuary cities weren’t enough to cast doubt on her patriotism and integrity, now we’ve got allegations of CCP financing in the mix, too.

It’s not the best look a politician could have, to be sure.

Mary Wu, Boston’s mayor, has been more than just an outspoken critic of Trump and his policy. She has been among the elected Democrats practically begging Tom Homan to press charges for how they are aiding and abetting illegal aliens.

While that aspect of her NeverTrump politicking is what she’s most particularly known for, Daily Caller did some digging and found a few hundred thousand fundraising skeletons in her closet.

That, of course, would be a reference to the $300k a certain fundraiser with CCP ties who helped with her 2021 Mayoral campaign.

Boston Democratic Mayor Michelle Wu’s 2021 campaign received hundreds of thousands of dollars from a fundraiser who is listed by a Chinese intelligence agency as an official, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation discovered.

Gary Yu, the founder of Boston International Media Consulting, helped raise over $300,000 for Wu with the help of a Chinese civic association he leads. However, Yu — whose Chinese name is Yu Guoliang — is listed as an official by an agency of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influence and intelligence service called the United Front Work Department (UFWD), and also operates as a recruiter for the Chinese government, according to reports from the CCP, Chinese state media and civic associations led by Yu. — DailyCaller

That Daily Caller article went on to explain in detail — chapter and verse — exactly what Yu’s DIRECT ties are to the CCP, and how he is an ‘overseas committee member’.

The House Select Committee on the CCP in 2023 described United Front as being especially adept at altering the political landscapes of other countries to its benefit.

“United front work is a unique blend of engagement, influence activities, and intelligence operations that the Chinese Communist Party uses to shape its political environment, including to influence other countries’ policy toward the [People’s Republic of China]and to gain access to advanced foreign technology,” it wrote. “It is carried out by an extensive and well-documented network of organizations operating in parallel to the People’s Republic of China’s foreign ministry and intelligence services that seeks to influence universities, think tanks, civic groups, other prominent individuals and institutions, and public opinion broadly.” — ABC3340

Is she, like other ethnic Chinese, just a natural target for CCP to hone in on? Or does China think her hard-left politicas would be easily co-opted by China?

Of course, there’s always the possibility that they were already ideologically aligned even WITHOUT any CCP interference.

One way or another, there are some questions that will need answering by the ‘threat to democracy’ crowd.

They concern a very real threat to democracy.
