GOTCHA: UNC Administrator Bragging About DEI Workarounds On Hidden Camera

When confronted, the provost ran like a rabbit

This is the sort of video that can cut off federal funding and launch a

DEI initiatives are a violation (at minimum) the spirit of Civil Rights law, and likely the letter of the law. That doesn’t stop UNC administrators from clandestinely pushing them anyway.

It isn’t as if they’re claiming ‘ignorance’, either.

As Corey A. DeAngelis explains in a thread, Janique Sanders, of UNC, is their assistant director of leadership and community engagement.

She was caught on hidden camera talking about her TRUE feelings about abiding by Trump’s executive orders about DEI initiatives. Not only does she not CARE about such directives, she’s going out of her way to flaunt them.

As Cory summarizes the next segment of the video: The administrator whispers and jokes about how she isn’t supposed to say that DEI is still happening at the university. She says “We’ve renamed, we’ve reorganized, we’ve recalibrated so to speak.”

Not a great look for a school whose federal funding makes them subject to Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act… and the various penalties that come into play for violations.

She even gives specific examples of the slippery use of language she will employ as a work-around, bragging about how she can ‘finesse’ the system and navigate the PC rules without actually abiding by them.

Is she just lying in wait, keeping her opinions to herself until a future date when she can be more open about them? Nope. She’s explicitly talking about ‘work that is covert’ even if the offices themselves no longer exist.

When the University Provost was confronted with this same video, she high-tailed it away from the journalist.

Not only had Trump banned DEI, but the University’s own board had explicitly forbidden DEI content in the school. She was asked how the board would feel about this video. No answer on that question, either, as she scurried away.
