OBAMA: First Diddy, Now This… Old B.O. Is Not Having Himself A Good Month

The public adoration of his Obama-Messiah popularity is now "yesterday's news"

Remember when they called him ‘The Light-Bringer’ and Obama could do no wrong? Well, just like the old song says, the times they are a-changing.

He’s traded his ‘community organizer’ credentials for the lifestyle of the Martha’s Vineyard elite. And the once-adoring public has proved just as fickle.

Remember how Obama sucked his party’s war chest dry just to personally survive the 2012 election cycle? And how he left it such a shambles that the party had no choice but to let the Clintons ride in to the rescue where they began to treat it as their own campaign piggy bank?

Well it turns out that people have begun to suspect that Team Obama may no longer be the people to whom the party wants to hitch its future hopes.

“The shine’s off Plouffe now. He was the golden boy,” said Morgan. “Now he’s just an old broken-down boy who lost. Big.”

And now, more Democrats are criticizing Obama’s strategists and consultants, and last month, Democratic National Committee Officials blamed Obama’s failure to invest in state parties during his two terms in office for setting back organizing efforts.
[…] DNC Finance Chairman Chris Korge lashed out at Plouffe, who has blamed Biden’s hesitation on leaving the race for Harris’ loss. Korge told NBC News that Plouffe and other Obama world players shared the blame for the loss.

“It’s time to re-evaluate the use of consultants and bring in new, forward-looking people,” Korge said. “The old Obama playbook no longer works.” — NewsMax

It’s not just NewsMax, either. Even NBC is saying the same thing. The headline choice was devastating enough with an ‘Obama’s orbit loses altitude’ being updated (changed?) to a slightly more nuanced “Obama world loses its shine in a changing — and struggling — Democratic Party”.

But the body of the NBC story pulled no punches in at least part of its reporting.

It was Obama who chose Joe Biden as his vice president, offering him the elevated perch that set up his 2020 election and his aborted 2024 re-election campaign. Obama selected Hillary Clinton as his secretary of state, then anointed her for the Democratic nomination in the 2016 race against Trump. The operatives Obama and his top aides empowered have carved out leading, decision-making roles at the top of the Democratic Party since then.
[…] But even the former president’s luster was showing signs of fading last fall, a phenomenon that threatens to persist as the next crop of young voters ages into adulthood. When the 2028 presidential election arrives, it will be 20 years since Obama’s first victory. At that point, more voters will have come of age in the era of Trump than in the era of Obama.

Having your name closely associated with political failure? That’s pretty bad.

Losing to Trump, no less? And having two hand-picked candidates lose to MAGA voters… TWICE? That’s gotta be a bitter pill for Obama’s ego to swallow.

But that’s not the only place Obama’s been in the news this month.

Having your name associated with political ruination is pretty bad. Having it in any way associated with the Diddy courtroom drama is much, much worse.

Even if (or especially if?) it is in connection with drugs. Not that there are any claims that Obama was present at these parties or using drugs with Diddy. But Diddy was regularly using drugs that were deliberately made with Obama’s face on them.

David James, who worked for Combs from 2007 to 2009, told jurors during the second week of the trial in Manhattan federal court that he frequently saw Combs take drugs, including opiates during the day and ecstasy at night. James said he sometimes picked up drugs for Combs and his friends, and often brought narcotics and other personal items like lubricant and condoms to Combs’ hotel rooms.

He said he once saw Combs take an ecstasy pill shaped like a “former president’s face.” When prosecutor Christy Slavik asked him which president, James responded, “President Obama.” —Reuters

Well, it could be worse for him. That old Larry Sinclair story could be circulating again.

Oops. Too late. Because of the obvious drug segue, that story already is circulating again on at least one big conservative podcast. Probably others as well.
