If you are like so many Christians thinking prayer is just a religious good luck ritual, or a box to check to keep God happy, ask yourself a question.
If Paul preached with the kind of compelling message that made cities break out in riots why did he use the word ‘and’ at the beginning of verse 18?
He’s listing off armor, helmet, combat boots, shield, sword. Then he drops in the word ‘and’ before talking about… prayer?
What’s he know that most of the modern chruch has forgotten?
Well, answering that might require a long list. But if nothing else, it tells us that he sees prayer a LOT differently that most of the rest of us.
If we want results like his… instead of the Church Lady who thinks flannel graph bible stories are the future… we might want to find out what he knows about prayer.
And what do you know? That’s exactly the idea being kicked around on today’s Warriors and Wildmen.
Be warned. It’s not just the Kum-ba-ya ‘now I lay me down to sleep’ prayers. We’re talking about the kind with teeth, the sort that made Mary Queen of Scots say she feared John Knox more than all the armies of Europe.
If THAT is the kind of prayer life you could sign up for, one that might make you remember you’ve got a pulse, you’re gonna want to press play and hear more.

While you’re at it, here’s Doug’s book that covers some biblical examples of prayer that typical pastors are FAR too prissy to teach:
I Talk Back to the Devil is an action manual that sports thirty pure fire proclamations against the powers of darkness in three different categories covering, the wealth, the walk and the warfare of the Christian against Satan and his defeated ilk.
This NEW book will put a serrated edge on the Christian’s prayer life in these troubled times. This slim tome will embolden the believer to stop taking Satan’s crap.
