Aggressive Negotiations: Canada Cries Uncle When Trump Tires Of Their Games
So much for their 'elbows up' tough talk, eh?

Add another ‘W’ to Trump’s collection of big wins. This time, it is making Canada blink on their trade negotiations.
Trump really isn’t interested in historical norms or the political posturing that goes into typical negotiating processes. He is motivated by one thing: result that take him closer to his goal.
That goal is the supercharging of the US economy. Anyone willing to cooperate in negotiations that help him hit that target (like the UK was) he will play ball.
If you tey to get ‘cute’ and fet punitive with the world’s largest economy? It’ll cost you.
Canada tried to play hardball with the US in negotiations, adding a tax that targeted digital services from America.
Here is the terse answer they were given in response.
That was 1:44 on the afternoon of Friday June 27.
They are already using official channels to backpedal… Hard.
Here’s a screenshot of the first part of the official Government of Canada capitulation.
Notice the date: June 29. A Sunday.
How often have you ever seen the government give a rush decision on ANYTHING, let alone work through a weekend when it didn’t have to. Not just any weekend, either. Remember, Canada’s equivalent fo the 4th of July is on Tuesday!
Most of them would rather have been in their vacation homes on a lake someplace, rather than crafting an official *oh crap, we’re sorry* response to a foreign head of state they had just insulted… especially THAT one!
He just keeps winning, when everyone says he can’t.
As much fun as it is to watch his results, it’s almost more fun watching everyone who predicted he would crash and burn. He is neither crashing NOR burning.
