Hamas Attacks US-Backed Aid Workers… Five Killed, Possible Hostages Taken

On their way to a food distribution center, they were murdered by Hamas

It’s no secret who was behind this attack. Aid workers were getting threatening messages from Hamas for their role in the food distribution program. Now, five are confirmed dead.

Amid the chaos in Gaza, Israel has been overseeing the distribution of humanitarian aid that was diverted by Hamas and SOLD for profit to the Hamas war effort. We notice with wry irony that, unlike the civilians caught in the vise of war, the leaders of Hamas never seem to look like they’ve missed even a snack, let alone a meal.

If Hamas has been diverting aid, and UNWRA is compromised, showing evidence of cooperation with the terrorist activities of Hamas, trust has been fractured and the distribution of aid is not a task either of group can be trusted to deliver. Another group, Delaware-based ‘The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’, has picked up the slack. It is a cooperative effort between the US and Israeli/Gazan members.

Here’s a window into what that aid has been looking like:

There was a brief interruption in food delivery, in response to some threats received from Hamas a few days ago. But the need was urgent, and deliveries were resumed.

The following story was written on June 8:

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) resumed aid distribution in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, after cancelling distribution on Saturday due to what the U.S.-backed organization said were direct threats by Hamas.

One distribution center opened briefly during the morning hours, closing for the day after completing the distribution of food packages, according to GHF. Two more sites were scheduled to open at noon in the Tel Sultan area of Rafah City in southern Gaza

The aid organization announced on Saturday that it had been unable to distribute food parcels due to “direct threats” by Hamas that “made it impossible to continue working today without endangering innocent lives.”

The statement accused Hamas of “seeking to return to a broken regime it previously controlled and exploited—by diverting aid routes, manipulating distribution processes, and advancing its own agenda regarding the basic needs of the people of Gaza.”

Despite the risks, the foundation stressed that “these threats will not deter the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation from its mission to deliver food to Gazans who need it most,” and that it is “intensively modifying our operations to counter these threats” with the aim of resuming aid distribution “without delay.” — JWS

The story continued on to describe the 9 million meals delivered since May 26th and how they were planning to ramp up deliveries to provide even higher numbers, with a goal of 4.5 Million meals daily.

Those threats were documented. JPost supplied a picture with an English translation:

“We are fully aware of everything you are doing, and all your movements are being monitored with extreme precision. You will not be forgiven for your involvement in projects that harm the dignity of our people and serve suspicious agendas under the guise of humanitarian work,” the message read.
“This is your final warning: Continuing down this path will have severe consequences, and you will bear full responsibility for the outcomes of your actions. Stop now, or else.”

The ‘or else’ part was by no means an idle threat.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation said a bus carrying its staff to a distribution site near Khan Yunis in the south was “brutally attacked by Hamas” around 10:00 pm (1900 GMT).

“We are still gathering facts, but what we know is devastating: there are at least five fatalities, multiple injuries, and fear that some of our team members may have been taken hostage,” GHF said in a statement.

In an email to AFP, the group added that all five of the people killed were Palestinian aid workers for GHF.

“These were aid workers. Humanitarians. Fathers, brothers, sons and friends, who were risking their lives every day to help others,” the group said in its statement condemning the attack. — France24

Read that again, slowly.

Hamas murdered Palestinians who were helping with the aid effort.

So which is it? Gazans are perilously close to starving and it’s Israel’s fault for not providing food? Or ‘collaborators’ helping Israel to feed Gazans should be murdered by Hamas? Simple logic tells us you don’t get to have it both ways.

Meanwhile, American protesters sing Sinwar’s praises, and portray Hamas as the ‘good guys’.

For some reason.
