When you read the stories of biblical heroes, are you visiting a museum or thumbing through a recipe book?
It’s so easy to fall into the trap of reading the Bible as just a spectator surveying things that happened in the dusty pages of history. It feels a lot ‘safer’ when we read it that way.
There’s just one problem with that: the main character in their story is still alive and well, and very much active in our story.
