SELF-OWN: Journo Gets Pink Slip After Trump Derangement Syndrome Online Rant

The relevant Latin phrase is "Quos Deus vult perdere, prius dementat"

He went from sitting for an interview in the Oval office on Trump’s 100th day, to the unemployment office 43 days later. All because he could not resist the urge to rage-tweet.

You may have heard the quote ‘He whom God wills to destroy, He first makes angry.’ If there’s any truth th the saying, it almost seems as if Trump is one of his favorite tools to spark that anger.

Because yet another rager has managed to self-immolate his career.

Terry Moran, lately of ABC, spent Trump’s 100th day in office sitting in the Oval office interviewing the President. Some of his ‘hard questions’ haven’t aged well, like the ones about the ‘Maryland Man’ that has since been brought back from El Salvadore so that he can face federal charges for his role in the smuggling of Illegal aliens into America, and (potentially) additional charges.

He took it upon himself to sit in moral judgement of not just Trump, but one of his more prominent White House advisors and spokespersons, Stephen Miller. The rant itself was boilerplate liberal rage-posting nonsense. Long on emotions, moralizing, and finger-wagging, short on facts. But that didn’t give the ‘objective news reporter’ even a moment’s pause before clicking the button to post his tweet.

When last we looked in on him, he was suspended from the network that hired him way back in ’97. He had risen to the role of Nightline Co-host and Senior White House Correspondent, and his future was yet hanging in the balance.

Now?

He’s updating his resume.

ABC News suspended Moran on Sunday, and said that he was at the end of his contract.

“We are at the end of our agreement with Terry Moran and based on his recent post – which was a clear violation of ABC News policies – we have made the decision to not renew,” a network spokesperson said. “At ABC News, we hold all of our reporters to the highest standards of objectivity, fairness and professionalism, and we remain committed to delivering straightforward, trusted journalism.” —Deadline

It’s not as if they had much choice in the matter. If they’d kept him on in the role, the White House would have had every reasonable excuse to suspend his White House press pass… and possibly that of ABC altogether.

After years of FA-ing with impunity, more and more people are shocked to discover that they, too, will be among those who eventually ‘Find Out’.

The sooner this guy hits the bricks, the sooner the rest of us can all go back to forgetting his name.
