Aftermath — What Woke/DEI Policies Have Left In Their Wake
If ideas have consequences, let's weigh the 'consequences' of those ideas

Are we starting to see the beginning of the aftermath of DEI? The word itself refers to consequences and the period of time after a very ruinous event. Since DEI and the whole “woke” mindset sort of dovetail into each other, perhaps we’re not there yet. But taking a look at some of the consequences of these related social constructs might offer hope that they’re starting to wither.
The word “woke” has a history that comes primarily from black culture and black social activists. It’s initial focus centered on racial tension and injustice. Historically, it was President Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” that helped spawn affirmative action by executive order in 1965. Some state level bans on affirmative action began in 1996, with a national ban on race based college admissions initiated by the Supreme Court in June of 2023.
But, and it’s a big but…look at this empirically. Affirmative action begat the horde of college graduates who are responsible for DEI and subsequently the appropriation of “woke”.
The time frame from the mid 1960s up to the early 2020s gave us people such as former President Obama and former VP Harris. (I recommend the book “The Manchurian President” by Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliot, 2010, for a good synopsis of how Obama came to power.)
It was definitely Johnson who began whittling away at what was once a more patriotic Democrat Party under JFK. What could be considered classic liberalism is now filled with identity politics, cancel culture, hyper feminism, and CRT. It’s now all “woke”. It took less than two generations for this to happen.
The consequences are more than just a mindset and policies. The true result is the people who came of age during this period and have been able to reach positions of power that many are not qualified for. We have seen people put into power simply because of their race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc., etc., but not due to merit. The following is only a partial list of individuals who have gotten where they were only because they fit a certain category.
Let’s start with some well known ladies.
Claudine Gay, first black female president of Harvard; resigned due to plagiarism.
LaToya Cantrell, first black female mayor of New Orleans; indicted for corruption.
Lisa Cook, first black female to sit on the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors; fired by President Trump for blocking the lowering of interest rates.
Karren Bass, first black female mayor of L.A.; mismanaged January’s wild fire response; her office has also been accused of bribery and corruption.
Fani Willis, first black female DA for Fulton County, GA (Atlanta); sought to prosecute President Trump for election interference; ultimately disqualified from the case due to corruption and financial mismanagement.
Marily Mosby, state’s attorney for Baltimore, MD, black female attorney and youngest person to hold that position; convicted of perjury related to misuse of COVID 19 funds and mortgage issues.
Before moving on to the next category, which is LGBT+whatever related, let me address the commonality elephant in the room. The aforementioned list is of black females, all of whom were in high ranking positions of power and influence. How much did affirmative action/DEI factor into their careers? (Just asking for a friend….)
And now, the “boys” club.
Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former mayor of South Bend, IN, and former Sec. Of Transportation under Biden; Mayor “Buttjiggle” went out of his way to help with natural disasters and train wrecks, didn’t he?
Admiral Rachell Levine, former Asst. Sec. for Health at U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services under Biden; more focused on Pride events, climate change and trans issues instead of health issues.
Sam Brinton, worked in Office of Nuclear Energy under Biden; charged with federal suitcase theft; non-binary. (Listen, Sam…if you’re going to cross dress, at least try to pass. You even fail as a drag queen.)
The dishonorable mention category.
Alvin Bragg, Manhattan DA, first black to hold that office; pursued “hush money” trial against President Trump.
Alejandro Mayorkas, former Sec. of Homeland Security under Biden; Cuban/American heritage. (I’m gonna go out on the limb again here and just say this: do you honestly think any Demshevik with an obvious Spanish background would want to do anything about the wide open southern border?)
Congressman Shri Thanedar, (D-MI), attempted to file articles of impeachment against President Trump in April of this year. (Don’t let the knock off Star Wars type character name fool you. He was born in India.)
I want to round the list off with two of the best examples of what the aftermath of woke/DEI/affirmative action has given us.
Zohran Mamdani, New York state rep, all out communist running for mayor of NYC; from a very wealthy Indian family, born in Uganda where the family still maintains an estate.
Ketanji Brown-Jackson, nominated to SCOTUS by Biden, who promised to nominate a black woman to the court given the chance; confirmed by Demshevik majority at the time, this is what we got: she is the quintessential poster child for DEI/affirmative action hiring; she has stated that she “wants people to know about her feelings on the issues”….so much for the letter of the law. (You know it’s bad when even her fellow Demsheviks on the Court take her to task for her opinions.)
These are all high profile individuals who have more than made it obvious that education is not equal to intelligence or skill. But hey, check all the right boxes with Demshevik street cred and you, too, can lend a hand in the dismantling of the U.S.A.
I’ve mentioned before that in a perverse way, we all should almost be grateful for the Biden/Harris fiasco. We were given a four year window into what they really want to do to us and the country.
The woke infection has also permeated several businesses, not just government institutions. Bud Light, Target, Jaguar, John Deere have all tried it. Cracker Barrel is the latest example of what happens when woke is more important than the bottom line. Sports franchises such as the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks tried going woke to a certain degree and only got backlash for their efforts. Remember that the NFL allowed the Black National Anthem to be performed at the last Super Bowl. Went over well, didn’t it?
We can empirically view the four year window of Biden/Harris as what being totally woke brings. How did this happen?
It’s not rocket science. We allowed it to incrementally happen.
To quote British actor Russell Brand: “You don’t need research, you need windows.”
