Gavin Dunking On Red States Did NOT Go As Planned

Gavin’s social media account is proof enough that he thinks going to war against the right is his sure path to getting the notoriety he’ll need to take his run at being his party’s nominee in 2028.

The collective lesson the left has learned from getting spanked in 2024 is that they had the right policies, but wrong messaging. They didn’t fight hard enough, throw enough mud at the GOP.

Even Politico has told them to stop using language that makes them look stupid and out of touch, ‘birthing person’ and all the rest. But even that is being taken as keep the ideas but say it in a way that doesn’t sound like compulsory DEI training.

Gavin has trotted out the same playbook he used during COVID, but instead of framing himself against Ron DeSantis (because comparing the impact of leadership on both states could be fatal to his ambitions), he has announced himself as the ‘face of the resistance’ against Trump.

In response to Trump cleaning up DC, and trash-talking the damage that Democrat leaders have on their cities, Newsom responded by defaulting to what he knows best: lies, hype, and spin.

He listed high-crime cities and tried to make it a REPUBLICAN problem. See if you can spot the flaw in his logic before we show you how he got roasted for it.

Here is a sampling of what he’s been posting in response to the undeniable success he’s seen after only 2 weeks of actively taking on the crime wave in DC.

Here’s a shot of Team Gavin objecting to efforts to end the lawlessness that has been terrorizing citizens and, in many cases taking the lives of innocent bystanders.

According to very detailed crime stats tracker ‘Hey Jackass‘ (amazing resource and generally fantastic site) the crimes that Gavin does NOT want Trump to send help with are an instance where the Democrats really COULD invoke their favorite phrase, that the crimes affect minorities, particularly black victims ‘disproportionately’.

Why don’t black lives matter to Gavin? If crime were destroying the lives of the Pritzker family or Oprah Winfrey, would Gavin think it was an emergency THEN?

Folks like @redsteeze were trolling these posts with the fact that the cities he mentioned were uniformly run by Democrat mayors, not for a little while, but (in many cases) for generations.

Called on it, they’re pivoting their messaging.

He tries to take that very same objection and use it in his own defense.

Democrat cities control policing and enforcement.  That’s why red states don’t ‘own’ the crime rates in their blue cities. Does that logic cut both ways?
