New Study Nukes The ‘Meat Causes Cancer’ Narrative… And THEN Some!
Would it be easier to get a list of what the diet gurus got RIGHT?

Chalk up another example of the medical science being not having conventional advice being repudiated, but the OPPOSITE being true.
I remember a time when the food pyramid was recommended eating, when whole milk was bad for you, you had to be careful about eating eggs, and red meat almost certainly causes cancer.
If the ‘conventional thinking’ on nutrition were true, Kennedy would NOT need to be running a MAHA campaign to deal with the soaring risk factors for all kinds of illness at earlier and earlier ages… and obesity rates that make ordinary random beach photos from the 1970s seem they’re taken in some faraway country.

Whatever the ‘why’, it turns out the ‘experts’ have been just as lost as the rest of us, and one after another of the ‘thou shall nots’ of eating real food have been dropped into the dustbin of history.
We now have a study that doesn’t just CHALLENGE the conventional thinking about the alleged ‘dangers’ of eating red meat… it presents findings that suggest eating MORE meat has at least a small BENEFIT in protecting against cancer.
Eating foods that contain animal protein is not connected to a higher chance of death and may even provide some protection against cancer-related mortality, according to new research.
The findings, published in Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism, are based on an analysis of data from nearly 16,000 adults aged 19 and older who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHAMES III).
Researchers looked at how much animal and plant protein participants consumed and compared those patterns with their risk of dying from cancer, heart disease, or any cause. The results revealed no elevated risk of death linked to greater animal protein intake. Instead, the data pointed to a small but meaningful decrease in cancer-related deaths among people who consumed more animal protein.
“There’s a lot of confusion around protein – how much to eat, what kind and what it means for long-term health. This study adds clarity, which is important for anyone trying to make informed, evidence-based decisions about what they eat,” explains Stuart Phillips, Professor and Chair of the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University, who supervised the research. —SciTech Daily
McMaster is one of Canada’s most prestigious universities. One of their claims to fame is having pioneered this little thing called ‘Evidence-Based Medicine’. It was kind of a big deal.
One paragraph in the article really stood out, and the one that followed gave some further context:
“It was imperative that our analysis used the most rigorous, gold standard methods to assess usual intake and mortality risk. These methods allowed us to account for fluctuations in daily protein intake and provide a more accurate picture of long-term eating habits,” says Phillips.
The researchers found no associations between total protein, animal protein, or plant protein and risk of death from any cause, cardiovascular disease, or cancer. When both plant and animal protein were included in the analysis, the results remained consistent, suggesting that plant protein has a minimal impact on cancer mortality, while animal protein may offer a small protective effect.
Gold standard statistical methods? For anyone curious, they were named in the article. One came from the National Cancer Institute’ method, another came from a ‘multivariate Markov Chain Monte Carlo modeling’.
If animal protein has a ‘small protective effect’ against cancer, maybe the Davos types can stop trying to scare us away from eating meat ‘for our own good’.
What perfect timing for this story to come to light. Our own Doug Giles just wrote a book in which animal protein plays a very big role: The Bible And Hunting
And here’s what he said about it:
If a person looked to Scripture and paid particular attention to the passages within the Bible that address the topic of hunting, then they’d walk away thinking not only is hunting animals tolerated but it is endorsed by God. And that’s exactly what this little book is about: proving that God, from Genesis to Revelation, is extremely cool with hunters and hunting. I’ll go out on a biblical limb and claim right off the bat that you cannot show me, through the balance of the Bible, that the God of the Scripture is against the responsible killing and the grilling of the animals He created. ~Doug Giles
