After a long life of faithful service, conventional wisdom tells us to hang up the uniform and book a cruise ship or hit the golf course. But not this cat.
When he was still a young squab, he was kidnapped as a trophy of war by a heathen empire-builder with a god complex… and sent to work in his administration. He didn’t even get to keep the name his parents gave him. He was given a new name to honor the pagan gods that carried him away from his homeland.
He didn’t whine. He didn’t rage at God. In fact, he even knew it was God’s explicit plan that he would be in the mess he was in… not because of anything HE did wrong, but because his parent’s generation, and others before that blew off God’s plan for them, and his generation was left to pick up the pieces and put something back together again.
And if we’re looking around at a ‘woke’ world that has forgotten God and wondering what happened, maybe we could learn lessons about how this guy was able to rack in a hard place, not just when he was an up-and-coming vim and vigor kid… but well into his golden years, too.
