UK Media Clown Thinks Big Gov’t Should Swipe Your Kids’ Inheritance — God Says Differently
Notice how they never tire of cramming THEIR moral frameworks down OUR throats

When scripture said people would call good evil and evil good, this is exactly the sort of example where you see that inversion pop up.
Today’s modern secularist has elevated Government to fill the void they’ve evicted God from filling and so they see no issue with Big Government taking every cent you ever earned when you die. That’s explictly the point that Lewis Goodall is making in suggesting an inheritance tax of 100%.
‘You don’t have a right to inherit money from mummy and daddy that you did nothing to earn.’

It’s all in the name of ‘equality’ of course. Because it will elevate people to some form of meritocracy. I guess this guy hasn’t been paying attention when a family can come from abroad, live 4 in a room in a cruddy apartment, live frugally and open a shop to send the kids to school so they can be professionals with advanced degrees.
Or large European families where each son learned a different trade, and worked together to build a house they could all live in, before building houses they could each live in after that and before you know it, they’ve got a series of rental units as a side hustle.
This guy lacks creativity to think in any terms other than the rich-guy-exploits-poor-guy us-vs-them world of envy that socialism so often traps aggrieved people into.
His idea of a solution is to rob the rich and give to the poor. But instead of the Robin Hood approach, he is loading the family fortune into the hearse.
And he thinks government should get it ALL. In the name of fairness, of course! Because that approach worked out so VERY well when the Beatles wrote ‘Taxman‘ in 1966 complaining that the UK was taxing 90% of what the Beatles earned. Surely every economic and social woe has been solved by that policy, since the left’s greatest hope is having enough money to throw at a problem.
And yet, somehow, Thatcher was voted in when the economy was in free fall.
Goodall doesn’t seem to understand that there are MANY kinds of wealth, and most of them are far more beneficial to the government if they remain intact in the hands of the family that owns them. Family businesses, for example. Farms for another.
He knows, deep down, that the people who have money — real money — hire legal teams to find very clever ways to navigate the legal system. Methods the ordinary pleb has no awareness of or access to. Instead of impoverishing the wealthy and flattening the income disparity he claims to care about, he’s really destroying the middle class and setting up a sharper divide between rich and poor.
And wouldya look at that? A stable and thriving middle class just ‘happens’ to be a significant impediment to class war and revolution.
We mentioned the Bible. What does God have to say about this?
The idea of land passed from parent to child plays a MASSIVE role both in Old Testament narrative and theology. God’s own Covenant to Abraham to whom God promised both offspring and an inheritance in the land. God underscored this point by making the Levites different, by measuring their inheritance in the land differently than that of the rest. Laws were made concerning the restoring of land to those who had lost it through various kinds of financial ruin, and the land itself became a way of underscoring the intergenerational permanancy of God’s promises. Abraham bought the land he used to bury his wife. And we still know where to find it.
In a more practical note, wealth is a blessing we pass on to future generations. Back then, it was mostly agricultural. Lands, herds, vineyards — that sort of thing. Today, we use other tools both to gain wealth and to exchange things of value. Money and homes are a big part of it.
This guy thinks the family home should be sold when mom and pops drop dead, not to divide up the value to the children, but so that the Great and Powerul Oz — sorry, the government — can take it and use it oh so frightfully well and altruistically.
They would call it a ‘moral issue’. God would agree. As evidenced in the very first relevant verse that comes to mind. It’s also the one that came up first in a keyword search:
“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.” — Proverbs 13:22
We have two choices: we can take our moral cues from some dweeb on ‘Leading Britain’s Conversation’, or we can take them from the Word of God.
