HORRIFIC: Charlie Kirk Shot And Killed During “American Comeback Tour” Event In Utah
Rest in Peace, Charlie.
Charlie Kirk, 31, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, a conservative organization committed to reaching young voters, was shot in the neck and killed on Wednesday. He leaves behind his wife and two young children.
Kirk was shot in front of a large crowd at Utah Valley University just 20 minutes after taking to the platform for one of his “Prove Me Wrong” events.
President Trump has posted on Truth Social that Charlie has died.
He later announced that he is calling for all American flags to be at half mast on Sunday to honor Charlie.
The campus visit by Charlie was part of the TPUSA “American Comeback Tour” of college campuses.
Aubrey Laitsch, Public relations manager for Turning Point USA said, “We are confirming that he was shot and we are praying for Charlie.”
Chaos erupted around 20 minutes into Kirk’s presentation, with videos showing hundreds of screaming students running for safety.
The 31-year-old activist and father-of-two was shot in the neck area, with horrific video circulating on social media showing his neck recoiling.
A suspect is in custody following the shooting, university police confirmed. The suspect’s identity has not been revealed.
Footage from the scene showed officers taking an older man into custody as he says ‘I have the right to remain silent.’
An Utah Valley University spokesperson said the gunman shot Kirk from a building 200 yards away from the building where he was sitting.

Social media is flooded with calls for prayer for Charlie and condemning this senseless act of violence from the Right. A few prominent Leftwingers like Cali Governor Gavin Newsom and several other Democrat politicians have also condemned the shooting.

But the crown for Awful Takes has got to to MSNBC’s Katy Tur who had a few doozies.
Minutes after he was shot, Tur called Kirk “a divisive figure, polarizing, lightning rod. What ever term you want to use.” She also insinuated that Utah’s “permissive” firearms laws are partly to blame.

Tur then speculates that the Trump administration will “use” this incident “as a justification for something.”

When Republicans say things like “fight” (after getting shot, might I add,) that should be taken as a call to violence, but when Democrats say that we are “at war” and need to be “willing to do whatever” that is just harmless rhetoric that shouldn’t be taken literally. I’m sure that Charlie’s family would disagree.
This senseless act of violence should be condemned by both the Right and the Left. No one in the Year of Our Lord Twenty-Twenty-Five should be killed for their political beliefs.
