After years of playing revolutionary and tilting at phantom Nazis, Antifa now finds itself under the microscope — and that means their deep-pocketed funders as well.
Of course the media (and other leftists) have downplayed the role of Antifa in domestic politics. Now that Trump has classified them as domestic terrorists, he held court with the on-the-ground reporters who have not only been keeping tabs on their activities, but getting attacked by them and, just last week, getting arrested and charged when (you guessed it) an Antifa footsoldier threw him to the ground and broke his equipment.
They sat down together around a conference table and shared both experiences and insights that would shape federal policy as they respond to what amounts to (ironically) an organized and well-funded anarchist movement with a taste for violence.
After this meeting, the White House gathered some of the highlights and posted a message about what Americans should expect now that we’ve identified the target.
