ESPIONAGE ACT: Bolton Surrenders Himself To Authorities In Answer To Serious Criminal Charges
That should erase the morally-superior smug smile behind the oversized 'stash

It’s not just for the documents he retained, he stands accused of transmitting secrets, too. Suddenly, all of his pious finger-wagging at Trump rings awfully hollow.
John Bolton, the former national security adviser to Donald Trump who has since become one of the US president’s biggest Republican critics, surrendered to authorities on Friday to face criminal charges that he mishandled classified information. He was expected to make an initial appearance in court later in the day.
The justice department filed federal charges against Bolton in federal court in Maryland on Thursday, accusing him of transmitting and retaining highly classified information under the Espionage Act.

When Trump was indicted on his own over-hyped documents case, whose allegations were based, in part, on deliberately damaging leaked photos of the documents strewn over the floor, as if they were splayed out on the floor due to Trump’s carelessness with them, and not a staged FBI photo, Bolton was quick to show up on CNN and pronounce the end of his political career, at least.
His own words now echo in accusation of the one who first spoke them.

Of course, he had troubles of his own, including the publishing of a book that included information he had not been cleared by the government as containing only content he could lawfully share before publishing.
The judge didn’t block the book because, oops, once published, the harm had already been done. But reviewing the content in his chambers, the judge affirmed that, yes, it did contain material he ought not have shared for security reasons.
We’re not talking about the mishandling or unlawful retention of a couple of pages, either. We’re talking about more than a thousand.
John Bolton handed over A THOUSAND pages from his time as National Security Advisor, including material classified up to TOP SECRET/SCI, to two people who had no clearance to see it.

What he didn’t realize was that has he was sharing his emails with others, they were being monitored by a hostile actor.

For all the endless overhyped hoopla about the ‘potential’ harm that Trump’s classified documents could have caused, that was never more than a hypothetical situation.
But these documents are said to include ‘methods and sources’, military tactics, and all kinds of information we don’t want the other side to know; or even know that we know.
He has been indicted by a grand jury. And the man who once mocked Trump in a process that we now know beyond any shadow of a doubt was a rigged game that didn’t even play by the basic rules of evidence that protect the ordinary citizen now has to answer for his own actions in a court of law.
For all of his complaints that he is being ‘unfairly targeted’, we reply only that ‘no one is above the law’.
Mr. Moustache revelled in his ‘FA’ phase, with big-dollar book deals and CNN appearances. Let’s see if he enjoys his ‘Find Out’ phase nearly as much.
