IT’S REAL: Refugees Stream Back To Gaza As Hostage Return Clock Is Now Officially Ticking

Could anyone have imagined this milestone being reached in the Biden years?

How ironic that, on the same day of the year that Nobel prizes are announced, the world is watching the Gordonian Knot of the Gaza question being cut in real time.

(This year’s recipient was activist Maria Corina Machado from Venezuela who has been fighting for her country to return to democratic norms. Ironically, that award further underscores Trump’s claims about Maduro’s illegitimacy, which has got to be awkward for AOC and her fellow travellers who refused to denounce him, for their ideological reasons.)

Who would have guessed, as Sen Schumer forced the government shutdown ten days ago, that Trump would help negotiate Middle East Peace before Congress could work out a budget that keeps the government open.

And yet, here we are. The 20-point plan agreement in principle was brought back to legislators who voted accepting the terms to the first framework in a long time that offers a shot at lasting peace in the Middle East.

This morning, the world wakes up to a world where those terms have been accepted as both sides take cautious steps into a future few people on either side could have dared hope to believe in even a few short weeks ago.

Even Obama had to acknowledge the significance of the accomplishment… even if he was careful not to credit the President he helped Hillary, Brennan, and Comey conspire against:

After two years of unimaginable loss and suffering for Israeli families and the people of Gaza, we should all be encouraged and relieved that an end to the conflict is within sight; that those hostages still being held will be reunited with their families; and that vital aid can start reaching those inside Gaza whose lives have been shattered. More than that, though, it now falls on Israelis and Palestinians, with the support of the U.S. and the entire world community, to begin the hard task of rebuilding Gaza – and to commit to a process that, by recognizing the common humanity and basic rights of both peoples, can achieve a lasting peace.

I suppose we should all thank Barack for taunting Trump about not being President, all those years ago. I mean, look at Trump now!

Trump has now been invited to stand as the first President EVER to give an address to the Knesset in his visit to the Middle East as we cautiously move forward.

Partisans will have something to say about the Peace Prize award.

But don’t expect Trump to whine about it. He’s already got the win that matters: The cease-fire is holding.
