The Verbum Dei admonishes us to ‘be angry, but sin not’. Where better to look for an example of how to balance that than by watching the Holy One of God demonstrate what righteous anger REALLY looks like.
Because the tricky thing about so much of the anger we are quick to justify as ‘righteous’ is just another example of one guy being POd at some other guy for some petty disagreement, jealousy, or perceived slight.
As James put in his punchy letter, the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. So if you’re planning to crash someone’s party and start flipping tables, You’ll want to make sure you’re doing it HIS way.
