‘Brooklyn Obama’ Has Been Having A Rough Week… Double Teamed By Comer AND The Press!

Maybe ‘Dollar Store Obama’ thought life was going to get better now that the Shutdown was over and the Sombrero memes had stopped. Sorry Hakeem. It got worse.

If you’re going to bill yourself as the ‘Rising Star’ and the ‘Brooklyn Obama’, you had best have Obama’s Charisma and ability to spin an effortless lie. Otherwise, you’ll have a week like this one.

Obama, like Bill Clinton before him had a certain salesmanship talent set, where he could look you in the face, tell you it was midnight at high noon, and have everyone in the room nodding in agreement. Even if people knew on some level they were being lied to, he spun his lies in an aw-shucks kind of way that made friendly audiences WANT to accept them as true.

Others are more of a Chuck U. Schumer style of politician. If you know you can’t lie so smoothly, so might rely more on backroom political skill set of being ‘the kingmaker’, networking skills, donor access, and control of political machine purse strings variety to protect your power base. The political donor class will run cover for you, prop up weak political narratives, and use their pull to shape media reporting on a variety of issues.

Poor Hakeem Jeffries, whose campaign once touted him as ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Brooklyn Barack’ back when he was soliciting Epstein for campaign dollars is sadly out of luck on both fronts.

He lacks the confident charisma to lie his way through a crisis like B.O. and Slick Willy could, and carries zero caché with the donor class and media types who are letting him twist in the wind.

The one-two punch of the shutdown and the Epstein revelations — which were supposed to be weaponized against the GOP — have both landed squarely on Hakeem’s jaw… and he’s staggering badly.

First up, in response to Hakeem trying to call James Comer a ‘stone cold liar’ in claiming his team appealed to known sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for money and offering a meet-and-greet, we’ve got Chairman Comer standing beside a giant printout of the email where they did exactly that, and read it out verbatim.

That’s politics. If that was the worst he’d gotten that would be bad enough. But it’s clear that his allies in the networks are ready to throw his ineffectual self to the wolves, too.

Not only is CNBC pushing back on Hakeem’s hapless talking points, host Becky Quick is not even trying to disguise her MASSIVE eyeroll when he presumes to ‘instruct’ her on the ‘real’ issues after she reacts to his filibustering by prompting him to answer the question.

The Democrat voters reported by Axios earlier this year wanting some of you to get arrested or shed blood to further the hard left’s demands are getting impatient. Do you think its a coincidence that the radical left in your party is trying to primary you with an AOC/Bernie clone?
