Did POTUS Just Leverage Schumer’s Shutdown To Finally ‘Trump’ Obama & McCain?
Eight years after McCains infamous thumbs-down, Trump might STILL get the last laugh

It’s been about eight years since McCain turned the big thumbs-down and nuked conservative plans to undo the harms of Obamacare. It was beginning to look like we’re stuck with it, until Schumer got silly.
With the GOP clearly confused about what the real legislative priorities are at the moment, Schumer and company tried to ‘stick it’ to Trump by forcing a shutdown. When they went groping around for a reason, they struck on the COVID-era Obamcare subsidies. They DEMANDED more money to keep that afloat!
Forget the fact that Democrats unilaterally voted for that program, and that they unilaterally voted for the Covid-era subsidies, including the expiry date of… the end of this year.
When they put the proverbial gun to the GOP’s head, conservatives were supposed to blink and give Democrats everything on their wish list. Except it didn’t work out that way. They held their ground and passed the CR.
But with Obamacare right at the center of the debate, we started talking about all of the different reasons Obamacare is a discredited policy that does more harm than good.
And now, with Dems leaderless and in disarray, Trump is taking back the initiative on the health care question.
Whether he actually IS in clandestine talks with Democrats about sending money to private health care funds instead of padding the bottom line of insurance companies is anybody’s guess.
But he’s proclaimed it to the media as a fact. And that gets them asking all the right sorts of questions that he wants to see bubbling in their heads, about what life might look like under the new plan he’s just unveiled.
🚨 BREAKING: In a stunning development, President Trump reveals he's in private talks with DEMOCRAT lawmakers on GUTTING Obamacare – to give the money directly to the people, not Big Insurance.
"I am talking to some DEMOCRATS right now!"
Wow. Obama's legacy might be doomed.

Whether these conversations have happened yet or not is almost moot. He’s putting it into the public mind that he is talking with Dems about this new approach, one that replaces the old Obama approach. And that, by iteslf, might be enough to reset the conversation — even if nobody is ACTUALLY talking to him, it might motivate some Dems to ‘rush to the front of the parade’ so it looks as if they are the ones leading it.
We’ve had nothing but misery and price hikes since the plan came into effect. Anything new is still likely to be better than the same old same old.
