Sen Kelly’s Snarky Answer To UCMJ Review Gets ROASTED By Hegseth

Leftists have gotten so comfortable in being openly subversive that they didn't stop to think...

If Dem Senators are no longer motivated by honor or shame, pehaps a little old-fashioned public humiliation will teach him not to flap his gums quite so much.

Dems have every reason to keep playing this game

Did you notice how nobody paid a price when Vindeman etc. setting Trump up for an impeachment coup? Or when Mark Milley had back-channel talks with China to undercut chain of command with POTUS?

With so much to gain and so little to lose, why wouldn’t Dems keep playing that game? Until someone gets their nose bloodied for stepping too far out of line, they have every reason to keep their dishonest little game going.

And how big a step is it, really, for elected Dems who helped WRITE the laws on the books actively obstructing law enforcement like ICE from upholding their oath to ENFORCE such laws to ramp up their resistance to calling for open mutiny within the ranks of Trump’s administration?

With Trump using his lawful powers to call on Federal resources like the National Guard to help in particular tasks like quelling riots or dealing wth acute issues like runaway crime in places like DC, Democrats want to throw every wrench they can in the works.

The Video

The ‘Seditious Six’ video in which elected Dems with a background in military or CIA made a splash last week. But maybe not in the way Democrats had hoped.

Instead of rallying insiders to rise up in rebellion against Trump, even the news networks have not taken up their now-familiar role of uncritical amplifier of NeverTrump lies.

Maybe a couple of successful lawsuits put enough of the fear of God (or at least penury) into the networks so that they think twice about trumpeting every lie the Dems dream up against the current President.

Unforeseen Accountability

Of the six that appeared in that now infamous video, one of them has been specifically called out by the Pentagon.

An official statement was released by the Department of War:

The Department of War has received serious allegations of misconduct against Captain Mark Kelly, USN (Ret.). In accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 688, and other applicable regulations, a thorough review of these allegations has been initiated to determine further actions, which may include recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures. This matter will be handled in compliance with military law, ensuring due process and impartiality. Further official comments will be limited, to preserve the integrity of the proceedings.

The Department of War reminds all individuals that military retirees remain subject to the UCMJ for applicable offenses, and federal laws such as 18 U.S.C. § 2387 prohibit actions intended to interfere with the loyalty, morale, or good order and discipline of the armed forces. Any violations will be addressed through appropriate legal channels.

All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful. A servicemember’s personal philosophy does not justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order.

Sen Kelly Reacts

You know that old movie trope where some heavyset grey-headed uppity aunt of some kind finds herself next to a rugged working-class guy who doesn’t care about high society’s rules, he’ll drink beer right out of a bottle, wipe his mouth on his sleeve and tell those jokes that you just don’t tell in ‘polite society’?

You know that one line they all seem to say in their flabbergasted indignation? Say it with me…  ‘Well I never!’

Kelly’s tweet in response to having his conduct looked into by the Department of War has exactly the same vibe to it.

Kelly gave a rather snarky (and long-winded, for social media) reply to that notification where he mentioned some of his military experiences/credentials with an image of his chest prominently displaying his various medals, and closed with the following two paragraphs:

Secretary Hegseth’s tweet is the first I heard of this. I also saw the President’s posts saying I should be arrested, hanged, and put to death.

If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.

Hegseth had a reply of his own, matching snark for snark:

Hegseth posted an explainer so civilians can understand why this issue is, in fact, ‘a big deal’.

And he reposted another explainer from one of the J6 legal counsels as to why Sen Kelly should NOT be so quick to dismiss the Department of War’s statement as irrelevant.

The Senator might want to exercise that right to remain silent of his before he digs himself any deeper.
