Pipe Bomber Arrest Is Just The TIP Of The Iceberg — Information Already On Hand Led To Arrest

Bongino got himself a remarkable birthday present!

When leadership was handed to Patel and Bongino, the J6 bomber case had already gone ‘stale’. There were no new leads, nor was there any attempt to find any. Fifteen minutes after being read on in the case, he told his team to go find this guy.

Brian Cole Jr., 30, was arrested and charged with transporting an explosive device and attempted malicious destruction by means of explosive materials, according to charging documents filed Thursday afternoon. Attorney General Pam Bondi credited investigators and prosecutors for “sifting through evidence that had been sitting at the FBI.”

There were no new tips that led to the arrest, Bondi told reporters at a news conference on the previously stalled case.

“This investigation is ongoing,” Bondi said. “As we speak, search warrants are being executed, and there could be more charges to come.” — NBC News

Jake Tapper, who could have gotten the story basics right by saying nothing about race whatsoever, couldn’t help himself. He got it hilariously wrong when he reported Cole as a ’30-year-old white guy’… even as the man’s very visibly *NOT white* face was being shown on the screen. How very ‘on-brand’ for the leftwing media.

What team Biden couldn’t and/or wouldn’t do in four long years, got done in just a few months under Patel, Bongino, Bondi and others. There are only two explanations — incompetent leadership, or unwillingness to prosecute the guy who planted two bombs. (The fact that investigators who were chasing down leads in the beginning were called off is more than a little suspicious, suggesting the latter is a real possibility, which potentially opens up other incriminating questions.)

Of all the crimes that OUGHT to have our attention of the events of J6, none was more serious than the planting of two potentially lethal incendiary devices on federal property.

But now, we’ve got layers and layers of information — including credit card purchases of very specific bomb-making supplies, phone pings, licence plate readers, and (importantly) relevant bomb-making equipment in his current home.

It is not yet known whether any other future targets were under consideration.

While being interviewed on Hannity, Bongino — who has been ringing alarm bells about our need to identify and catch the pipe bomber almost since Day One, told us that this arrest is by no means the ‘end of the story’. The metaphor he used invoked this being the first chapter of a twenty chapter book.

He brought viewers up to speed in this clip.

He has other information that we can expect to see coming out, maybe as soon as today, but he didn’t want to get ahead of it.
