WMD Update: Trump’s EO Names Fentanyl As A Weapon Of Mass Destruction
He promised to deal with the fentanyl poisoning, and it looks like he means business

With the comparative body count fentanyl has racked up among American citizens, Fentanyl poisoning has killed more Americans than many wars. And he’s upping the ante in fighting its introduction into America.
President Trump announces a groundbreaking Executive Order classifying fentanyl as a Weapon of Mass Destruction:
“No bomb does what this is doing. 200 to 300 THOUSAND people die every year — that we know of.”
You can tell that that moment in his announcement was one of his self-described ‘weave’ moments where he jumps off script to editoralize the speech he is in the middle of reading. While the official data only counts up to 2023, we’ve got numbers to that point. Numbers that aren’t as high every year has his numbers would suggest, their combined effect does paint the same picture.
Realistically, it’s anyone’s guess what impact Biden’s open border policy would have on the numbers for those missing years, and his habit of hyperbole could possibly be mitigated some by the fact he may have unpublished early figures to which the rest of us are not privy.
