Minaj Vs. Mamdani: Pushing Two VERY Different Solutions To Income Inequality

They can't both be right

For good or ill, NYC has jumped into the socialism experiment with both feet, and like most political zealots Mamdani is all gas and no brakes. The media won’t mind when the left does it, so long as they agree with his assumptions. So far, they’re happy.

But scarcely a month into his tenure and Mamdani, who promised a government big enough to be involved in every area of your life, sees the math isn’t mathing in his budget. It turns out he doesn’t have enough to run his very bureaucratic city, let alone deliver on his myriad promises.

So he’s going to need to find money somewhere.

“That means looking inward into savings and efficiencies. That also means raising taxes on the wealthiest New Yorkers and the most profitable corporations.”

Gee, that didn’t take long. And have we gotten any feedback into what happens when THAT money gets used up? Or is he just going to keep raising taxes ad infinitum and hope the proverbial music doesn’t stop until AFTER he’s finished his tenure as Mayor? Good luck with that, New York.

Meanwhile, Nikki Minaj is directly investing her OWN money to benefit an entire generation of newborn Americans who are getting seed money in investment accounts that can let them become full participants in the American Economy before they’ve even discovered they have toes.

She’s taking hundreds of thousands from her own wealth and directing it into the newly-minted Trump accounts of newborns from among her own fans.

Let’s put some real numbers to the plan so we have some idea of what the plan can look like.

First thing, it makes every child born, starting on the date the plan takes effect, a participant in the stock market, benefiting from the growth of America’s top companies.

Instead of cheering for their demise, they will be hoping for them to grow, so that their own wealth will grow with it.

It also erases the barrier to entry that keeps so many people from opening investment accounts.

Not only does it permit other parties to add money to the child’s investment account, it encourages it. TPUSA, for example, has already announced it will be matching dollar-for-dollar whatever the government drops into each account.

Here are some projections of where that could take kids receiving those amounts.

That can be real life-changing money. And it doesn’t matter if you are black or white, urban or rural, red state or blue state. It’s there for the taking just by being an American.

Dell already invested some big money into it. Others are likely to follow.

The middle class has been progressively hollowed out for a long time. Some might argue it was by design. It’s hard to have a class war when everyone believes they have a real shot at success, right?

This project will take 20 years to fully blossom. But it will be interesting to see what changes between now and then, and how the Nikki Minaj and Trump approach of investing into people compares to Mamdani’s play for establishing a monster government able to micromanage every detail of life.
