One Mind — Devoted To Prayer (Acts 1:12-22)
Doug Giles -- recorded at Liberty Fellowship, Wimberley Texas

None of what you’ll see in modern seminars and courses about how to launch a missions project or plant a church resembled the hot mess from which Christ launched His Church — but you can’t argue with the results.
Every one of the ‘leaders’ called to run this project scattered like jackrabbits when Jesus was arrested. None stood as witness at his trial — even though everyone knew where this was headed. Even after the resurrection, they hid behind a locked door for fear that one of them would be next.
But the Spirit of God doesn’t see the world through our mortal eyes. He’s building HIS church, and he’s going to do it HIS way.
Let’s take a look at what that means in the opening verses of Acts, starting with their very first instruction — stay put until I give you something worth saying, and the strength you’ll need to say it. Stay put… together.
And instead of doing all the stupid stuff they had done for the past three years, griping, sniping and nose-wiping, they rolled up their sleeves, got on their knees and laid the groundwork of the coming spiritual earthquake by getting to work in prayer.
Here’s the book that was referenced at the end…
The PERFECT Gift For The Art Loving Warrior

Dear Fellow Warriors: My new book just dropped, GILES VOL. I: The Biblical Warrior Collection. It’s a full color coffee table compilation of my biblical paintings over the last 20yrs. As you know, I don’t depict the biblical men in this book as sweet bearded women but rough troublemakers who shook all of hell’s habitations. It’s a great gift for the male and female scrappy warriors on your Christmas list. Young kids will love it too. 70+ original paintings. 234 pages with the scriptural inspiration behind each painting. It’s a beautiful book.
RECOMMENDATIONS. “One reason I buy Doug’s priceless art is to make bold statements on the walls of my home. Lively discussions come alive to bring home the Gospel messages behind the brushstrokes gifted to Mr. Giles. Pastor Doug’s creativity in canvassing the Biblical perspective is daring and courageous.”
