Big Day For DOJ: Comey, Fauci’s Staffer & Operations In The ‘Learing Center’ Scammers
Where are all of those 'nothing is happening' predictions now?
It’s easy to deliver Biden-era results when you are prepared to take the lawless shortcuts they’ve been exposed for taking. But to build a legitimate case that won’t subvert the rule of law takes a little more time and effort.
Yesterday was a busy day for the DOJ, and embarrassing for critics who keep telling us ‘nothing is happening’.
Let’s begin with…
Minnesota
Nick Shirley kicked off a media firestorm when he exposed the massive fraud at the no-show daycares in Minnesota.
The left whined, moaned, and complained about ‘racism’. The right screamed for law enforcement to ‘do something’. But as a quick look at the Minnesota fraud convictions already on the books when Shirley went viral, that process had been long since underway.
It took a while, but in a state where elected Dems have been OPENLY opposed to taking any action on the fraud investigations, the case was built, they got their i’s dotted and t’s crossed, warrants were signed, and the operation moved forward. The infamous ‘Learing Center’ was among 20 locations raided .
The FBI raided the infamous ‘Quality Learing Center’ and more than 20 other businesses across Minnesota on Tuesday as part of a massive investigation into multi-billion dollar social services fraud.
The raids were focused on prominent businesses tied to the Somali-American community, sources told The Post.
“Today the FBI with federal, state and local law enforcement is involved in court-authorized law enforcement activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation,” a Justice Department official told The Post. — The Post
Next, we’ve got charges laid against someone who worked for Anthony…
Fauci
This isn’t Fauci himself and we dare not even hope to speculate about what other actions might still be pending against the top guy himself, but we are encouraged by charges being dropped against Fauci’s assistant.
He’s accused of using backchannel communication tools to avoid FOIA oversight and responsiveness… and getting paid to do so.
David M. Morens, 78, of Chester, Maryland, is charged with conspiracy against the United States; destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in federal investigations; concealment, removal, or mutilation of records; and aiding and abetting. Morens served as a senior advisor in NIAID’s Office of the Director from 2006 through 2022.
“These allegations represent a profound abuse of trust at a time when the American people needed it most — during the height of a global pandemic,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. “As alleged in the indictment, Dr. Morens and his co-conspirators deliberately concealed information and falsified records in an effort to suppress alternative theories regarding the origins of COVID-19. Government officials have a solemn duty to provide honest, well-grounded facts and advice in service of the public interest — not to advance their own personal or ideological agendas.”
“Circumventing records protocols with the intention of avoiding transparency is something that will not be tolerated by this FBI,” said FBI Director Kash Patel. “Not only did Morens allegedly engage in the illegal obfuscation of his communications, but he received kickbacks for doing so. If you have engaged in activity conspiring against the United States, we will not stop until you face justice.”
“When public officials deliberately circumvent the law to hide their communications from the public, they undermine the public’s trust and the integrity of our institutions. This was especially true during the COVID-19 pandemic when transparency was needed most,” said U.S. Attorney Kelly O. Hayes for the District of Maryland. “Our office will continue to hold accountable those who seek to evade their legal obligations for their own gain.” — DOJ
