Evidence That CIA Opp Targeted Term-One Trump Breaks Cuomo’s Brain

It’s one thing to hit the libs with a truth-bomb, but using a source they can’t dismiss as a ‘rightwing shill’? That’s *chef’s kiss* perfection.

Michael Shellenberger is one of the few authentic investigative journalists in America that has not been captured by his own audience. He really doesn’t seem to care whose ox gets gored when he tells a story. And that’s what makes him good at sniffing out what others miss.

Chris Cuomo introduces the segment by saying that Shellenberger will try to convince him of it.

Clearly, Cuomo wants to write it of as BS from the beginning.

“So, sell me on it. How much to you believe this?”

The ‘this’ in question is Shellenberger’s claim that he has connected the dots between with a CIA analyst deliberately creating the conditions that became the predicate for the 2019 ‘perfect phone call’, sometimes called Impeachment 1.0. You know, the one where Schiff pranced around like a theatre kid putting words in Trump’s mouth until Trump rained on his parade by releasing the actual phone transcript, and making him look like a dope.

Shellenberger brings out his figurative box of crayons to make the case and tries to help Cuomo connect the dots.

No small task.

USAID money was funneled to an organization that created fake Ukraine and Russiagate evidence against Donald Trump

The CIA then worked with the agency to use that evidence in the impeachments against Donald Trump to remove him as President

Poor Chris has trouble following even the most basic facts of the case, somehow having it in his head that the Ukraine Phone call impeachment attempt was the SECOND impeachment of Trump, while nodding along to his own words like a bobblehead.

Sorry chucklehead. The second impeachment was AFTER the J6 debacle. The FIRST impeachment came shortly after Pelosi took the gavel in 2019, once they realized that the Mueller Investigation failed to achieve its greater purpose. (The lesser purpose of putting the gavel back in Pelosi’s hand was, in fact, successful.)

Before that, he’s confusing the discredited British spy, Christopher Steele, supposed author of the Steele Dossier at the heart of the Crossfire Hurricane Russiagate hoax (2017) with the story Shellenberger is trying to tell about the impeachment attempt in 2019.

I know you’re a Cuomo, Chris, but do try to keep up.

The bullet points are as follows:

–USAID effectively created this organization called the Organized Crime And Corruption Research Project.
(Group has connections with various international media.)

–They exist only because of a rerouted State Department grant from Narcotics enforcement division through USAID

–USAID had to sign off on the project, senior staff and work plan before OCCRP could be funded.

–It did the foundational research that was essential to the impeachment in the case against Trump

–That information was laundered through news sources

–The CIA ‘whistleblower'(widely believed to be Eric Ciamarella, who had undeclared Ukranian conflicts of interest of his own) cited that foundational research in his initial complaint against Trump that kicked off the impeachment process.

Cuomo’s people even made a helpful graphic:

Explain that part, Cuomo asks. Wanting to know what was funded, and more about the agent. That would have been a perfectly reasonable question, if he hadn’t gone on a tangent about Christophe Steele at this point, ending with ‘what are you beleiving now?’ as if any of Shellenberger’s reporting changes the well-established Crossfire Hurricane facts one iota.

Shellenberger tries to gently redirect him, and he confidently embarrasses himself again (this is the second impeachment), while Shellenberger is polite enough to ignore the mistake as he continues trying to explain that it’s the impeachment based on his call to Zelenskyy.

Shellenberger comes back to the relevant point that agencies whose entire role are executed outside of US borders (whether the CIA or USAID) are strictly forbidden from meddling in domestic affairs in any degree.

USAID really isn’t about economic development so much as a tool for exercising soft power. And yet they just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar helping create the exact work product that became the predicate for the takedown of a duly elected President.

What makes it worse is that the head of this group (OCCRP) has bragged in the past about successfully engaging in regime change efforts across four or five different countries.

Shellenberger makes the obvious connection that this looks an awful lot like the same kind of regime change… in this case executed against his own government.

Side note… This whole scenario brings back something Schumer said, even before Trump was sworn in: ‘You take on the intelligence community, they have 6 ways past Sunday of getting back at you.)

Back to the clip.

Cuomo asks a series of questions making it clear that he things Trump was guilty of… something. Chris lists off a few things about Giuliani (who was looking into allegations of the now-public Biden Family corruption), the phone call, and what he sees as a quid pro quo. *yawn*. All the predictable stuff.

Why would the whistleblower need anything fabricated if they already had all this?

Shellenberger reminds Cuomo that a lot of the things Chris just claimed were partisan views more than established facts. There was no consensus opinion and even the case for impeachment itself was predicated on the thinnest of evidence.

But, as often happens, the evidence contradicts the assumptions.

And he retreats back to his assumptions, even when many of them are built on other assumptions that were long since debunked as bogus.
