A Week of Jihad

Op-Ed by Andrew Linn

Jihad is defined as a holy war being carried out by Muslims against the infidels.  And although jihad has occurred since Islam came into existence, this past week has seen quite a few occurrences, which are as follows:

  • The jihad against Christians in Nigeria continues, and it has been estimated that Muslims kill a Christian every 86 minutes.
  • British authorities arrested five men attempting to carry out a car bombing near a Royal Air Force base in Gloucestershire, which had been used by the United States Air Force for bombing raids in Iran.  The base had been mentioned in a statement by the Iranian Government, in which it warned the British not to allow American bombers to fly from there.  But then the five suspects were released, despite the danger they posed and the ongoing investigation.  Meanwhile, the Israeli Government gave the British intelligence about a possible terrorist attack, but the British responded by imposing on Israel.
  • The pilot of an airliner bound to Israel from the United Arab Emirates was stabbed several times by the co-pilot (an Omani Muslim) in an apparent attempt to crash the plane 9/11 style.  Fortunately, the passengers and another crew member intervened, thus preventing the plane (which plunged from 35,000 feet to 15,000 feet) from crashing.
  • Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sent a letter to Americans in an attempt to sway this year’s mid-term elections, and thus put the Democrats in control of Congress.  The letter mentioned America’s airstrikes against Iran (which General Mohebbi described as an unprovoked war), in addition to describing the Trump Administration as corrupt.  Thus, the Iranian Government is hoping Democrats regain control of Congress and thwart any attempt to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon.
  • In Corsica, a couple of Muslim migrants destroyed a statue of the Virgin Mary, in accordance with Islam’s contempt for Christianity (and statues, which they see as idolatrous). As a result, the captain of a boat refused to ferry them, and several hotels refused to accommodate them.  Meanwhile, in Britain, a Muslim in charge of an Islamophobia training session told those in attendance that the Virgin Mary wore a hijab- which is not the case.
  • Across France, Muslim high school students are rioting- setting fire to schools and buses, as well as attacking teachers and administrators, and even a few attempted murders.  It’s unclear what exactly sparked the riots (i.e. their excuse), but these riots are another case of jihad.
  • Actress Selma Blair has been ostracized by Hollywood, fans, etc. for a comment (considered to be anti-Muslim) she made in response to a video posted by an immigration reform advocate.  Such ostracization included her losing brand deals, and a payment for a Super Bowl advertisement.

And the jihad will continue.

Which is why everyone must take a stand against it.
