Charlie Kirk A Modern-Day Martyr

Haters thought a bullet could silence him. They are not the first to turn to violence to silence Christian voices. Again and again they are suprised when it backfires.

The father of the punk who is being charged with Charlie Kirk’s murder turned him in. The messages on the shell casings make the motivation clear. Charlie Kirk was killed for what he said and believed.

He was a martyr. A witness. In his own words, when asked, he said he wanted to be most remembered for having a bold faith in Christ. And he will be. The question is, how will the rest of us be remembered?

Violence in response to an unvarnished gospel message may seem strange and new to American believers, but there are parts of the world where thousands of Christians are killed in any given year.

As Christians, we are called to embrace the mace, face the risk and proclaim Him boldly… anyway.

And if we shirk that duty? We’re not only passing the buck to the next generation, but the country will slide further from God and react even more harshly when confronted with a gospel that shakes their worldviews to the core.
