Erika Kirk’s Tribute To Charlie Was Stellar… With A Powerful Twist At The End (VIDEO)
The 'best birthday present' Charlie could ever have been given

It’s one thing to stand before a crowd and honor the memory of someone you love. But this was something MUCH more than that, and she spoke of American and Freedom in ways that few elected politicians ever could.
In a city packed to the rafters with people who know how to spout all the right words they are supposed to say in any given situation, it’s refreshing to see someone stand and say the sort of thing that is seldom even contemplated, let alone spoken by the average politician.
To be fair, that is a sad testimony of how far our current crop of officials have fallen from the heights and ideals of our Framers and Founders. When’s the last time you’ve heard about faith and character and rights and responsibility and freedom and hope for a future all rolled into one message.
And yet, it’s exactly the sort of message Charlie Kirk was best known for, and Freedom was the word emblazoned on his shirt as he breathed his last breath.
But for all of the beautiful words and ideals she laid out in her tribute to her late husband, what was particularly striking was how she ended the tribute with a call to action.
It’s hard to single out one line in which to pick up those final thoughts, so I’ll back up a little to where she’s reflecting on his life and their loss so that the reader can follow her thinking. It starts a little after the 11:45 mark, as she’s talking about how Charlie prayed for those who hated him, and loved people even when it was inconvenient…
“…and he ran his race with endurance and he kept the faith and now he wears the crown of a righteous martyr. And for me and for our children, the truth really steadies our grief, because Heaven gained what Earth could no longer contain. A free man made fully free.
To all watching, this is not a ceremony. This is a commissioning. And my message is simple:
I want you to be the embodiment of this medal. I do. I want you to free yourself from fear. I want you to stand courageously in the truth. Listen for the still small voice of God and remember that while freedom is inherited in this country, each of us must be intentional stewards every day.
God began a mighty work through my husband, and I intend to see it through. And the torch is in our hands now. It’s in mine. It’s in yours. It’s in all of yours. It’s in all of the students with Turning Point USA.
The call has gone out.
The question remains, who shall be bold enough to stand to answer it?
