Bison, Blackfoot, & How Schumer’s Shutdown Shot Down Some Big Liberal Lies
The Iron Law of unintended consequences is alive and well!

What ClashDaily readers will love about this story is how one shameless political powergrab exposed several liberal lies for the shams they really are.
For reasons that can only be understood in terms of political power-brokering among various factions in the Dem donor class and rival activist wings, Schumer shut down the government and got absolutely nothing to show for it besides telling work-a-day Americans that they are seen by the part on the left as little more than ‘political leverage’ (leverage was their own word), and at best, running a GOTV effort for some blue/purple states in an off-year election.
In the process, he held SNAP benefits hostage.
In an unexpected corner of the country, the Blackfoot Nation in Montana demonstrated a fantastic example of sellf-reliance involving (among other things) community spirit, clear-headed conservation management skills, and a good-old-fashioned carnivorous custom of coming together as a community around a bison kill.
When the SNAP benefits failed, this group didn’t turn to a soup kitchen for a hand-out, they turned to the bison herd, and harvested what they needed for survival. And what do you know? It turns out more government is NOT the first and best answer to our problems!
Suddenly, while big government is reminding us all how badly it fails us, the often-demonized eating of large grazing animals was the hero no government program could even pretend to be.
But then again, most of us already knew that.

The Bible And Hunting
If a person looked to Scripture and paid particular attention to the passages within the Bible that address the topic of hunting, then they’d walk away thinking not only is hunting animals tolerated but it is endorsed by God. And that’s exactly what this little book is about: proving that God, from Genesis to Revelation, is extremely cool with hunters and hunting. I’ll go out on a biblical limb and claim right off the bat that you cannot show me, through the balance of the Bible, that the God of the Scripture is against the responsible killing and the grilling of the animals He created. ~Doug Giles
