3 Things To Do To Avoid Becoming An Evangelical Wussy

This falls squarely in the 'simple but not easy' category

Have you noticed that a lot — and I mean a LOT — of Christians are working really hard at NOT being the example others would look up to? And yet they talk about winning the world for Jesus?

Sorry to break it to ya folks, but if you think you’re ready to be in the fight winning the world for Jesus, you might want to check if you’re up to speed.

Have a look at how the LORD answered one of his own PROPHETS when he started to get a little whiny when he thought he knew better than God about what would make for a just world:

Jeremiah, if you get tired in a race against people, how can you possibly run against horses? If you fall in open fields, what will happen in the forest along the Jordan River? — Jeremiah 12:5 CEV

Between that example and the purifying fire Isaiah faced six chapters into his ministry, do you really think the LORD Most High is going to sugar-coat the tough medicine today’s floundering church needs to hear?

If you think you want to ‘run with horses’ in the big battles, you should start winning races with the smaller skirmishes. Here are three practical steps you can take to start winning battles that will move the needle in the right direction.

Obviously, the sooner you start winning these battles the better, but there’s no reason to assume you’re ‘too far gone’ until the day you’re ready to pull your coffin shut behind you.

These three minutes might change your life.

Get that sorted out and who knows…?
You might end up changing the planet.

The book:

Lionhearted: Making Young Christian Males Rowdy Biblical Men

Dear young Christian male, this book you’re about to read is meant to challenge you to your very core. Its intent is not to make you feel warm and fuzzy. Some of the chapters will upset you greatly, especially if you’re a dandy who was raised with kid gloves by a helicopter mommy.

That said, in addition to the holy introspection contained herein, this book will also shoot adrenaline into your soul. It’ll push you to be a Godly risk taker and earth shaker. A veritable Rebel With A Cause just like the Captain of Our Salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you want a feel-good book that tickles your ears and morphs you into a little Christian popinjay, this tome ain’t for you. You should put this book down and walk away from it immediately. However, if, young man, if … your motto is to give God your utmost for His highest, and you wanna live a life worthy of Christ’s death, then this book will be grist for your mill.
